Can't enter Trial with owned car

i already own the 2013 Shelby, yet even though i removed all the upgrades i cannot enter this week’s trial with it? i even removed the livery, and made sure to reset the tuning on stock parts. yet ANOTHER game breaking bug that has been introduced into this joke of a AAA game.

Not sure why, but other have said there was a PI discrepancy. I used a car from my garage and it worked fine.
:man_shrugging:

what infuriates me even more is that i gifted the prize 2013 Shelby already as i have over 900 cars in my garage. had i known that i would have needed it i would have waited until after i used it. now it looks as though i’m going to have to buy a new one from the autoshow because the one i own is for some ridiculous reason unacceptable. there is a reason why i play this game less frequently now, and bugs like this are the driving factor.

Check to see if you have a differential installed. They don’t change the PI and typically will fail a car if it’s supposed to be “stock”.

the car is completely stock.

Yeah its sketchy. I had a Shelby tuned up for A800. I saved my tune, went to the garage and hit default setup. Still wouldnt fit, I had to buy a new one and then it let me pick my own car.

You get it as a reward for the C600 muscle street championship, so use that one instead.

did you not read my comment? i already said i gifted that car…

Something isn’t right with it, the car is 756PI stock but the one we all get in the Trial shows as 755.

I’ve never used the car before but I changed the paint before going into the Trial and it was back to the default blue + white stripes in the loading screen, so I’m guessing everyone gets given the same car in literally every sense.

This. I knew something’s buggy yet again when I saw this discrepancy. This is also how I learnt about having a different body color is considered not stock. In the end I just didn’t bother and rented the car the I already had to save some time.

A lot of people gave up in the Trial, only two of us left at the end. It helps if the AI have red cars like other weeks, but this week they had Blue Cars like us.

This confounded me too. i wanted to use my livery (someone in my team did) but it would not let me use a car rest to factory defaults.

I upped tire pressure and it let me use my car
My paint looked slightly different to everyone elses who were using a lower quality, lighter livery.

I noticed it replaced my custom paint too - and that is a straight up bug - it never did that before - so I would agree that something seems buggy here with what car you can use.

Sucks, but a ticket is probably the best we can do right now other than just buying the stock car.

They may have made a programming error that uses a default car rather than a stock car which would then change the paint.

It would be programmed like stock = 1, default = 0, so a 0 instead of a 1 creates a problem.

So many lines of code to check, totally get how it gets missed in the fray.

Something is odd yes. My original, never tuned or upgraded was 756PI so I did the reset to stock and it still showed 756PI. Later I did the comp and got the duplicate which as noted is 755PI. I figured, well might as well have a go at the trial, painted it, and went to join. Up pops the screen for cars and there is my original now showing 755PI and eligible and the new one identical except the paint. I picked the new one and of course the paint didn’t make it to the race (which I had forgotten was a “thing” this Trial so there was a moment of confusion.

Something odd is definitely going on.
