I have the radio station set to “off” and all the music / voice sliders down to “1” so I can listen to music on a usb stick in the background. However, music still annoyingly plays during the cutscenes and other menus.
I noticed this. Why isnt there a 0 setting. Im also not convinced it affects the volume in the transition squence - the one with the car, avatar and the big screens in the background.
Im sure a lot of people like the music both in game and in the transition… but some done. Give us a choice !!
if you have the radio turned to a station and not “off”, it will play that station during these sequences
You cannot turn the music to “0” in the options, you can only turn it down to “1”
if you have the radio turned to “off”, the game will play “clips” from the same handful of 4 or 5 songs, even if you have the music level set to “1” in the options, during those sequences
if you’re using any kind of streaming music or background music player, this creates an awful cacophony of sounds whenever these sequences come up and sounds horrible
Yes, it’s true, it seems this the devs for some reason did not wish to honor anyone’s request to not have to listen to the music that they selected for this game.
I would like to see this happen for all music to have an off. Especially when it comes to some of the annoying in-race music for certain story missions.
I’ve found that enabling streamer mode in Audio settings will let you turn off the radio without it ever coming back on at least. Unfortunately you have to do this every time you start the game because the setting isn’t saved for some reason. You also miss out on skill songs.
I really wish they’d just let the radio slider go all the way to 0 so we could have skill songs and not have to fiddle with this stuff. Nobody wants to listen to the same few songs over and over. The only station I can tolerate is Timeless, and even that gets old after hearing hall of the mountain king for the 10th time in a single session.
