What is it with Porsches in this game?
When I try to buy one using credits I’m being asked to buy a 7 car Porsche pack with real money using my credit card and when I try to bid on one in the auction house I’m directed to Microsoft Store with the same result.
In Forzathon today, most of the challenges involve Porsches which I can’t complete because I don’t have one and I’m not going to spend real money on a car, full stop.
If I have misunderstood this, I’d be delighted to be prompted in the right direction, if not, it sucks.
They’re probably the Porches from the Porsche DLC. You can’t access the in game cars until you buy the DLC. Winning other Porches have been prizes in the past, which were forzathon add ons and did not require the purchase of the Porsche DLC. You can still bid on those cars in the auction house and have access to them. And then you can complete the additional forzathons that require Porsches to be used.
I would personally say bid on either the 959 because it’s an all around good car or the 3.3 911 because I think last time I checked it was pretty cheap.

next week we will get a challange at forzathon, you need to play infected with srt viper to win prosche 918 spyder.
about the second thing i don’t know, but there’s few porsches on auction house without dlc sign, i didn’t tried to bid/buy because alot of them cost cr 20,000,000 and i already have the cheap porsches.

Thanks for the replies. I’ve just read some other threads here as well, so I’ll have to keep an eye open for Porsche prizes so I don’t have to buy the DLC.
I just put a bid on a 959 which I’m winning, so perhaps my original point is a bit moot if I win the auction?

Clearly I misunderstood. You can bid on vehicles that are not DLC and the Porsche 959 1987 I just won in auction isn’t part of the Porsche DLC.
There you go. Now you can get the other prizes for future forzathons potentially.

It’s pretty simple. There are 7 Porsches in the official car pack. You have to actually buy the pack to bid on them or own them. There are a lot more that were Forzathon rewards and you can win or buy those ones in the auction house. It wouldn’t be fair to everyone that had to purchase the DLC if you could just get them in the auction house.

the porshe 959 is really good. It is my top speed car right now with about a top speed of 435 km. Just a random tune that i found.
