Buick Regal 1997-2005

“Your grandfather probably didn’t buy this because it took expensive gas.”

Here’s the performance version of the car your granddad drives. The Regal is a boring car driven by boring people. Who could possibly care enough about this thing to want to drive it in a video game? Me. That’s who. Buick put a supercharger on the ol’ reliable 3800 V6 for this thing to make it the top of the line!!! That gave the grumbly old motor a healthy 240 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Then SLP performance, a tuning company, took that already pretty goofy concept and gave it up to 270 horsepower and 312 lb-ft, making it positively stupid. This car probably handles like garbage, but I bet wrangling its torque-steer and hearing its supercharger whine would make hooning this thing around Maple Valley an absolute blast. To cap off my argument for this inclusion, Buick is a very underserved brand in Forza, and there’s something cool about getting to drive a car in-game that you might well be able to drive in real life.

The Buick Regal may seem like your average teenage commuter car, and you wouldn’t be wrong. Not unless you looked at the GSX model, being the fastest Buick since the famed GNX. Produced between 2003-2004, the top model GSXs produced 270 HP from a supercharged V6, making this a perfect sleeper.
