I got this because I thought it would be worth selling at the auction instead of the AMG GT 4 door which sells for 9 million. To my disappointment its only allowing me to set 1.7 million. Since there aren’t any on sale I thought it would be more valuable. Now Im stuck with it -.-
I’m only a relatively new player so I might be wrong here, but this is my understanding:
The price you can set is contingent on recent purchase prices. E.g., if the most common price people have bought is 1.7m, that’s all you can set, and if that price is sustained, then next time the AH updates its pricing it’ll let you list for maybe 1.8 - 2 million. Conversely, if people have bought lower, then the next AH price alignment will reduce it to maybe 1.5m
I’ve seen this with the Lambo Sesto, which fluctuates week to week between 2.8m and 3.5m
The only exception is legendary painters/tuners who get to set their own prices.
This can lead to odd behaviour like some cars that are extremely hard to find - and hardly ever appear on the AH - being listed for 120,000 because the buying activity is so low, the price doesn’t get adjusted.
Like I said, I’m pretty new to the game, so I could be wrong!
I just got a backstage pass today and I’ve been trying to make the same decision. I almost picked the Divo, but it happens I have one so I checked how much the buy out price is first.
Looks like the car actually selling for the most right now is the 94 Prelude, but I don’t have one so that would just go in my collection. But if you just want a car to flip they were selling for 10m this morning. I saw BMW M3-GTR’s for 7m, AMG GT 4-doors were 6m, and Boneshaker was 5m (those weren’t the actual final selling price, just the highest bids at the time).
(I’ll probably still just get a 96 Impala because I like police cars lol)
The Divo popped up in the Forzathon Shop not that long ago…if everyone who wants one, can get one that pushes prices down. I noticed that with the C8 Stingray after it was daily sale in the Forzathon Shop…consistent 16-20 million credit car to 12-14 million now…and I suspect it will go lower with the C8 Stingray being in Horizon 7 this week.
If you follow the actual bids people place it really doesn’t sell that high. I tried selling one for a long time, I finally had to lower the bid price to under 5m before anyone would bid on it. It sold for close to 7 mil but that’s a long way from 20. There’s a lot of cars that have really high buy out prices but only sell for a lot less.
Yeah, but you can ask someone to buy it off you for 20M. A lot of people have 999,999999 cash. Then they can sell it you back again for a low price. Rinse, and repeat.
Uh, I don’t know anybody like that helping me out with charity. Who am I supposed to ask, the idiots ramming me in the Trial, or the idiots in Fprzathon Live who don’t understand how to get drift points?
Allowable max bid is most at 20M
Used to be C type Jag.
I buy them to burn up excess credits periodically.
If you try to sell one, put great paint and level 10+ tune on it.
Dumb to think someone will buy a stock Benz super sport for 4x more than the auto show.
Good luck, flipping cars is fun.
I had an AMG BLACK I got for 1mil. To my surprise the auction house will only allow me to sell for 273,000. I put a tune from a rank 20 person and the price went up to 287,000. How does this work? I seen people say put “legendary paint and tune” but i barely see a difference.
Don’t know about Black, but you overpaid. Not a rare car, it’s in car show to buy.
My point was about the Mercedes SSK, or any other car bringing high prices. When there are pages of cars all stock, color, tune, etc, that’s lazy to sell it that way. See pages of C8 vettes, McLaren 720 spiders for example.
Anyone can buy cheap and try to sell for huge money. But SELL is key.
Someone who takes time to get tune, livery, rather than just putting up a stock car in dull color is trying. Spend 80-100k for good tune and free livery that just takes time, and sell for far more than tune in cases of rare cars or the SSK Benz
Or, price it cheaper than max of 20/5/2M.
If it doesn’t sell, drop price.
I buy the things and resell cheap or delete them.
Paint it nice. Even if its a pretty solid color. There will be someone who wants it just for that. Also let people bid low so someone loses patience and buys it out. Thats what I did with the hotwheels cars and Cougar Eliminator. Cougar is the best deal. You will sell it for 20m and can buy it dirt cheap.
Its a REALLY EASY TO GET car, thats why its so cheap. I mean, i could have dozens of them by now. But i just delete them because i have my car roster full.
