Bought Limited edition Forza 5, Codes aparently already redeemed?

I bought Forza 5 yesterday, the limited edition version only to find that when i redeemed the code it said this code has already been redeemed, cannot find any support for the issue anywhere, and i have no received the items promised.

Please help
thanks

Did you buy it new or used?

Brand new dude, ÂŁ59.99!

Where did you buy it from? I’m guessing GAME yes?

Yeah game, there was no sealing over the metal case or anything, a local clerk just decided he wanted the code i guess?

You should immediately return it to the retailer you purchased the game from and exchange it for a game with valid codes.

^This. (Hieronymus1967’s post)

And don’t wait too long or you might get a “We can’t take that back…” argument. Companies tend to be much less suspicious if you just bought it, rather than if you wait a week.

You bought it new and it wasn’t even sealed? What about the security sticker thing on the opening? Was that broken?

non-existant, just a metal case in a game cover sleeve, no wrapping

Then you have no option but to take it back and explain that to them, and then demand a new sealed one or a refund.

was planning on doing that anyway, but thanks alot for your help all the same! Wasn’t sure if it was just a problem code wise.

If the package wasn’t sealed maybe you did have someone swipe/use the code. But before you take the game back you might want to try something. I bought the LE on Day One, tried scanning the code, it froze up partly through the process. I tried to use the code again and it said the code had already been redeemed, and when I looked at my Forza/garage, etc, I had nothing that I was supposed to from the LE version. (You can read all about the whole LE fiasco in the old forums). One thing that isn’t clear on the LE packaging is that you have to actually go install all add-ons, they aren’t just automatically added to the game. My suggestion would be to go to the Xbox One homepage, go to the store, find Forza, then go to the Forza add-ons. Find the VIP membership and click on it. If it is trying to charge you $$$ ($10 US in my case) then your code definitely didn’t work. If you can download VIP for free, it worked. It’s weird that you have to go in and manually download this, but that’s what you have to do. Good Luck!

Thanks for the long response, trouble is id rather not play the game at all, because then they can try blame me for using the code or similar, and teh disc is definitely scratched and has small circle marks around it, its dodgey in my opinion!

Also, i physically typed in the Code, and it instantly said Code has already been redeemed. It didn’t freeze up or anything along those lines!

sounds to me like you have a pre owned game not new. id double check your receipt make sure you didn’t pick the wrong one up

I picked up Brand new ÂŁ59.99 forza 5 for xbox one, the receipt says it was new too, the guy at the till might of picked up teh wrong one idk.

Never accept anything from Game that isn’t sealed by the manufacturer. At the very least check it before you leave the store.

Game have a habit of selling “NEW” games when they are actually second hand. They are also renowned for game codes and preorder codes going missing - its happened to me on more than one occasion.

If it wasn’t for the fact they took old games for trade, I don’t think many would use them as Asda/Tesco and the likes are usually same price or slightly cheaper.
