Bored

all the activities are either repetitive or uninteresting, i detest team adventure, the blueprints created by other players are complete garbage and the story missions are boring and lame

i spent some time with the route creator but after creating like 30 blueprints and playing the same races over and over again it got old…i don’t feel like playing the game anymore, even the seasonal championships feel repetitive…the game has no goal, no objective, nothing to make me motivated to play… everything is super repetitive and uninteresting

the game is very dry and the replay value is weak

My only “real” issue with this game is that, like you said, it has no obvious reason for me to came back and play. Makes me sad, I loved H3. I want to love this game too…

Because you enjoy racing and want to… win races? Isn’t that why anyone plays a racing game?

Right…the only reason I play a $100, open world DRIVING game that looks and sounds amazing is to win races…

If only there was a proper freeroam like FH3 it would be something to do.

I tire quickly when it comes to being forced to do races I dont like just to unlock something i do want, how do we even communicate in this game with only 4 words and no contact.

I cant even get to the stage of being able to unlock fortune island that I have paid for as the endless grinding of skill points just to get wheel spins to make some CR to buy a car that i like has become so much like work I have not even logged into the game in 2 weeks.

No I dont want to race to earn the right to say a word or wear pants.
And No i dont want to do seasonal events that force me to buy cars that I have to grind to be able to purchase.

Its just a whole lot of work to me as it is, if we still had a freeroam with live people I would just buy a cheap drift car and hang out with the others online and be happy - thats all i did in FH3 and that didnt get boring for over 2 years.

I find replay value in tuning and pushing myself to be a better driver. Boring… is slogging through the menus and waiting for Xbox users to load in PVP. I’ve probably spent ~30 minutes of my life just waiting for the fast travel cutscene to finish. Another 30-60 minutes just scrolling across the pause menu to change car and scrolling across tuning to tune aero brakes or diff. I appreciate the looping feature in the upgrades menu, tuning and pause need it. Combined with LB/RB it speeds the flow of testing different builds significantly. I could buy 4-5 perk cards to unlock a wheelspin in less than 2 seconds if I didn’t have to wait for the animation. Yet Forza wants me to sit for 10-15 seconds while the cards flip. Add a couple hours of waiting there.

Edit: I did some testing. Approximately 3 hours of my life have been getting in a new car, buying 4-5 cards for a wheelspin, and removing it from my garage. Without baked-in wait times that would have taken maybe 30 minutes. That’s not counting the hundreds of cars I keep that I’ve also bought perks from.

Buy an Xbox and a headset. For those of us on PC there is no voice chat, in or out. Total silence.

Sometimes I make up my own arbitrary rules where I start with a D-class car like a VW scirocco and then I only get a fraction of the prize money depending on car class and finishing position. It’s more fun for me playing like a more old school career racing game.

Doesn’t seem any more repetitive than FH3 - a bit less so, actually, sans the repetitive Championships. And far less so than FH2 and its Road Trips. And nowhere near as dry and tedious as filling out FM4’s grid of races.

I’m bored with it, too, mind, but that’s ultimately true of every game. Racing and fighting games tend to burn out the quickest for me. They’re also the most likely to get brief revisits. And in this case I eagerly await the next expansion.

i played TDU2 and it never felt boring…that game came out like 8 years ago and the map was much bigger it even had a couple of race tracks you could race, and you could create custom races and do time laps then share it so that other players can beat your time i had great fun doing that…not to mention having a freaking casino, bikes, and many many missions not just 10 episodes nonsense… buying a car and a house you had to work for it and grind for many hours until you was able to buy that ferrari you wanted or that house with bigger garrage space

meanwhile in this game you see and do everything the game has to offer in like 2 weeks…there’s no grinding you are given everything you want without any effort and it’s boring

Then why aren’t you still playing it?

cause it’s an 8 year old game and the servers with any kind of official support are dead.

It didn’t require online, though, right?

If I found a game that never got boring, I’d still be playing it enthusiastically if at all possible. I know I played TDU2, and since I stopped playing it I know I got bored with it. I honestly don’t recall if it required online.
