BMW Challenge Series

I would just like to start this off by saying, this is probably my new favourite series to race in online. It’s basically ABCs but with set manufacturers and I think we should have this as a permanent fixture to either the featured events tab, In the Spec series tab with the GTs and TCs or in the open events tab.

I think it would be a great idea to add more manufacturers into the rotation if it were to become a permanent fixture, and look something roughly like this:

Acura/Honda:
Group 1: Road cars A700
Group 2: TC
Group 3: GT3
Group 4: Hypercar

Aston Martin:
Group 1: Road cars A700/S800
Group 2: GT3 or GTs and Modern Factory Race R900
Group 3: GTP/C
Group 4: X Class AMR Valkyrie

Audi:

Group 1 - Road cars A700/S800
Group 2 - Touring Car or GT3/4
Group 3 - Quattro GTX and/or GT3 & 4

As is.

Group 1: Road S800
Group 2: GT & TA
Group 3: HyperCars/DPi

Chevrolet:

Group 2: GTX
Group 3: GT/TA/NASCAR(?)
Group 4: Forza P2

Datsun/Nissan:
Group 1: Road A700

Group 3: Early LMP
Group 4: GTP/C and LMP1

Ferrari: (Or rotate with different divisions)

Group 2: Early Factory Race car
Group 3: GTs
Group 4: Modern Factory Race car

Ford/Merkur:

Group 1: Road Cars A700

Just look at Motorsport 3’s and 4’s Events Lists and work off of that. FM needs to completely rebuild its career mode, even if it’s at the cost of achievements functioning differently.

Not wrong there, the career for fm4 was definitely top tier but this is for the online event with the BMW series, genuinely the most fun I’ve had in a while on the game, it’s hectic :joy::joy:

From time to time I do this vs the AI. Driving with different racing categories within the same brand. It would definitely be cool having this on MP with different brands on a weekly basis.

Outside of the audio issues for cockpit drivers, it has been pretty fun. Although I think the hyper/protos are too fast to be running with most everything but each other.

I’ve found myself just pulling over and letting them pass when I see a group getting close because I just get rammed off the track otherwise. Quite the impatient bunch for a 20 minute long race.

Yeah, I’ve noticed how the Hypercar is global in cockpit view and gets increasingly louder when they’re closer. It’s a tad distracting :joy:

It’s multi-class, if you’re GT, the Hypercars are much faster than them. If you’re in the lowest class, the Hypercars are immensely faster than them.

You’re supposed to stay on your line and be predictable as a lower class. It’s the job of the faster class to get around you.

I’ve played pretty much all my races in A700 cars and I swear, first section at Suzuka, very few GTs and Hypercars knew how to go round the outside despite the immensely superior grip. Got rammed to the point of fearing their arrival because you don’t want to ruin their battle either.

I think there is 1 class too many, but I like the concept and as the OP said would love to see it applied to other manufacturers.

Yes I understand that. But it’s Forza and people do not know how or are too impatient to execute a proper pass. It’s faster for them to just plow you out of the way, they don’t seem to get penalized for it so why not?

So to not ruin my own race I move out of the way and let them have the ideal race line. I do this well ahead of them being on my bumper so they realize I am giving them the line. I appreciate your input but Forza seems to have very little to no race etiquette.

Sounds good. I just think 4 groups is too many. Stick to 2 or 3.

Hello,

I really enjoy racing in this playlist ! I must have done at least 40 races since it’s been on.
It’s been one of my favorite playlists since the launch of forza.
The multiclass is really fun, you can win or lose a race in traffic.
4 classes might be a bit much, but 2 or 3 would be great !
20 minutes is good too, , i’m having a lot of fun.

They should implement a tutorial as well as a blue flag system to help people understand whats expected in these type of races as well as situations.

this + public skill and safety ratings.

Dont be greedy now, but seriously i think its not visible so it hides the fact that most of the time people arent actually matched by skill and/or safety.

I like the multi-class stuff but 4 is too many. The group 2 and 3 cars are too close in performance. It should be 3 tops IMO.

Those king of event should not be multiclass: I most played the mp event in the GT division and I lost count of the time an Hypercar divebombed me. A lot better three separate lobbies for the month event.
