I think blueprint events would be a great addition to Forza Motorsport. Content created by the community has always been good for variety within a game and for community bonding. Now that a community hub is about to be introduced, there would also be a good platform for this if blueprint content could be implemented.
The cards could be used for the presentation, as in the career or featured tour events. For example, you could offer a featured tour per season from the creations of the community’s blueprints, similar to how this kind of content is done in FH5.
I could imagine variants of blueprint events:
- Vehicle class blueprints
Players could put together their own vehicle classes. The vehicles included could be defined via the garage selection, similar to FH5, and it should also be possible to regulate the technical specifications for the selected vehicles, as in freeplay.
Ideally, it should also be possible to determine the liveries of the selected vehicles, for example by adopting the liveries of the selected vehicles in your own garage. This option is available in Gran Turismo 7, for example, where it is possible to create very authentic vehicle groups.
I imagine the result would be great variations such as: JDM Cars, DTM Classic Cars, GT3 Classic or Modern, recreated classes that correspond to real racing series.
- Single Event Blueprints
Players could define a specific track with specific conditions and a specified vehicle class or a certain predefined vehicle.
It would be ideal if you could choose vehicle class blueprints that have already been created for the vehicle specification.
The possibility of offering a time trial variant in addition to normal races would not only offer a new game mode but also provide more variety. It would be great if creators could then define a target time or a gold, silver, bronze time.
- Championship Blueprints
Several predefined races with vehicle specifications and a championship points ranking, based on the model of the races in Career Mode or the Featured Tours.
Here too, it would be very good if you could use vehicle class blueprints that have already been created.
The race conditions such as the time or the weather should be able to be defined separately for each championship race.
There should be the option to insert a training session before the race and define goals there, like in Career Mode, such as a lap goal and a target time.
- Story Blueprints
As with the Championship Blueprints, players could create certain scenarios and have the option to display additional text windows before the races in conjunction with screenshots from the game or generic backgrounds to create small stories with different events such as races and time trials. Examples might be:
- Porsche test driver story
- Supra vs. GT-R story
- Evolution of the Ford Mustang
