I’m on PC and since the new update I can play one round of a particular event in multiplayer and then after the race when it loads the lobby I get a black screen. The game doesn’t necessarily crash since I can still hear the background music but I have to force close the game because there’s nothing else I can do. This is extremely annoying.

Same here, every time it loads a new track it goes black…
Have had the same problem for 12 days now, have written a e-mail about it as well, but no help given as they don’t seem to care.
It seems this problem is in any of the Hoppers for me but the GT endurance, there everything works well, any other hopper and I get max 2 races before the black screen will happen and have to alt tab and close game manually.
This consistently happens to me too.
If you press B and then follow the usual steps to prompt to quit the lobby during one of these black screens, the game comes back. Funnily enough, behind the multiplayer menu, your car will be on the grid with the camera in the chase position.
I am absolutely fed up with the amount of ridiculous bugs in this game and it’s always these posts that go ignored. I cannot play more than one race without having to crash back to the menu and then pray that when I do finally find a lobby, the race doesn’t start without me or even sometimes directly crash to the desktop.
This isn’t including the times where you basically cannot join a multiplayer server with a “failed to load” message, requiring some sort of netsh fix through CMD.
Considering the game even loads which requires you resetting the Windows Store somehow by downloading a new app, so I redownload one app over and over in case the game fails to even load.
