Nice going on the pics again Kool, I really like how you brought out my eyes
Sadly enough I have to step away from the RX 7 cause it comin up short on the Speedway. But I’ve already been working on the next and it’s going to run the Mazda into oblivion.
I chose the 1965 Austin-Healey 3000 HKIII with 381 HorsePower.
HP2 circuit time - 18 minutes and 10 seconds
HP2 speedway time - 21 minutes and 15 seconds
Below is a couple of pictures for my photo entry.
So I was thinking, Where did I go so wrong on my math for my total times?
Well, I realized it wasn’t my math, but my ability to post correctly.
I must have had .898 on the brain, because my actual circuit time is 15:28.060. Adding the .060 to the .838 from my oval time of 18:53.838 is where I got the .898.
Sorry if I have confused us all, and here are my times again.
HP2 Speedway – R34 389HP – 18:53.838, fastest lap on replay 55.939 ( 55.929 on LB )
HP2 Circuit – R34 381HP – 15:28.060, fastest lap on replay and boards is 1:31.479
Nice time … that car is a fast one on the speedway too … high 55.7 to low 55.8 per lap once you make it through the first couple laps getting momentum … some may get it turning faster
I put a tune up for the Lancia if you wish to try it out … didn’t even add wheels to it … all I can say is all assists off except I used normal steering m/clutch hug the stripe in turns and stay off the wall out of turn 1 … should net you 18.50’s quite handily … it is a touch loose but you really need not lift “much” off the throttle
I should probably clarify just a little that the tune is “going to understeer” ( I know tight right lol ) so you can hold the stick hard left and it should drift right out to the edge of the wall in turn one and the car is not twitchy like the Rossion or anything but it can get the back tires a touch loose if you go in to the turn a little too sharp and let up on the stick and then back hard left … it won’t spin out or anything but it will scrub speed off … just wanted to clarify what I meant where it will lose speed and what I meany by loose since I know the tune is actually tight
This may be a real dumb question… But I set my time in the oval but forgot to write it down. How do I get the exact time set? I forwarded to the end of the replay but the video stops immediately as you cross the line!
You need to run the 20 laps in a user created online lobby.
at end save the replay and write down the total time before it continues.
If u miss that FF to the last lap hit pause and manually throttle slowly across the finish looking at the top right for the time.
Thanks, Frikki - you guys will be keeping me busy snapping shots with all these changes, I’m sure ;]
Lets welcome another newcomer ;] Thanks for joining, Eddie ;]
Thanks, LZ for the reply and answer for Eddie - When running - Race ONLINE - create your race - MAKE SURE TO HAVE PEN/PAPER ready when race complete - save the replay - Write down your time before race summary display cycles out - and post on the thread - CAR - HP - CIRCUIT - XX:XX.XXX / SPEEDWAY XX:XX.XXX - Many times myself I have forgotten to save replay and to write down my time before it disappears ;]
Thanks for the participation so far and hope you all are having as much fun as myself, testing and hotlapping ;]
I too learned - I did not write my time down quick enough at the conclusion (I did not have pen and paper at the ready!), subsequently spent way too much time trying to skip ahead to the end of the replay in order to capture my time - should have just re-run my 20 laps! (which I plan to do anyway… left a lot of time on the track!)
If ever there were obvious features we could use it would be time & fastest lap summary of replays on their info page and/or a quick jump to the end of a replay!
Well here it is, my new chosen car.
'01 TVR Tuscan S – 390hp
HP2 Circuit – 15:11.090
HP2 Speedway – 18:58.805
Not all clean laps but there will be a do-over later this week.
one dirty lap on the Speedway - I dozed off in turn 4… (lap 19 or 20?) basically a WOT kind-of car on the Speedway, could probably loose (or at least turn down!) the aero and gain some time - was much better than I expected!
I have come to the conclusion that i suk at oval racing lol . I have been trying Draggin’s Merc and i barely broke into the 56’s once . I know its not the car , its my technique thats to blame , guess i should stick to R3 and Fuji eh !!!
