BIGTIME muscle [88bg] - "Three, No, Four Decades of Mustang" Challenge

I’ve put together four B 500, OEM(ish) Ford Mustangs of the past four decades, 70’s, 90’s, 00’s, and 10’s.

Your mission (should you chose to accept ;^) is to take each of these four Mustang to three tracks (to be named) over a three week period and RUN 'm HARD!

All four Mustangs. At a Different Track Each Week. For Three Weeks.

Which one comes out on top - each week? - and - at the end of three weeks? That’s what you folks are (hopefully) going to determine! ! ! :^)

The Mustang are the 1971 Mustang Mach 1, the 1993 SVT Cobra R. the 2005 GT ‘Bullitt’, and the 2010 Shelby GT500 ‘Track Pack’. Each are Forza B 500 tuned and, as result, each have their advantages and disadvantages. For example, the 2010 Shelby GT500 received a ‘Track Pack’ (i.e. Forza Aero) and no weight reduction on stock tires in order to get into B class. While the '93 SVT has race weight reduction and race compound tires. And “The Bullitt”, race weight and street compound… you get the idea!

The tunes are on my, DesigningLeek47 storefront! You will be using those same tunes over the three week period.

Normal “rules” apply, you’re mileage may vary, yada, yada, yada…

Note: You do NOT have to be a BTM member - it’s just “branding” ;^) and Sponsorship! Speaking of… Kool is working on some designs for these! And I also have something else hiding in the back of my garage, I’ll reserve a few posts below for you folks to watch!

UPDATE: Participation designs! (see post #12)

UPDATE: The “Eliminator” (see post #89)

I don’t have the replays uploaded yet, I will later when I get the new paints on, and rerun the tracks. ( I ran the laps before I seen the paints available )

So far:

1993 — 01:05.305
2005 — 01:05.610
2010 — 01:06.646

A question Leek, are the tire temps meant to be that high? 38-40 psi when warm?

it’s not the psi, it’s the temps that matter (IMHO, of course ;^) but yes… problem?

Nope, I just had to reload the tune a couple of times, and wanted to make sure it was right.

I think me having different wheels, and your tune having the stock version caused a mishap when loading the tune.

Not a big issue, it loaded correctly eventually, like I mentioned, just making sure.

Mostly the comments section of Facebook posts. Lol

I saw the thread title and was ready to, but then I saw you skipped on the Foxbody II…

It’s my favorite Mustang, so I have no choice but to boycott your challenge. : P

I hate to be that guy, but that’s not an ideal way to set tire pressures. In my experience you want between 34psi and 35psi hot, anything much over or under and you’re losing potential grip. High tire temperatures should be fixed through a combination of suspension adjustments and driving style, when possible; some cars simply run hot and there’s nothing you can do.

DLC. :^( I was going to include it… I have it), but… DLC… Just like I would’ve, could’ve included the Unicorn… ;^)

Ugh, I still hate Turn 10 for that Essentials Edition garbage… Nothing ya can do. : /

I have the '95 Cobra R because it was included in the “Season Pass”, was in the February “ALMS” DLC (I “googled” it ;^)

Even so, even if I had included it, if you haven’t noticed - you’d still have to run the others! - We’re keepin’ score of all of ‘m! combined! for the “Driver’s Championship” - There’s No Slackin’ on the ones you don’t like ;^)
