Best Jump vehicle

Now that I have finished all the Championships I want to go and clear all the Danger Signs. To do that you have to 3-star them. I can’t seam to get past 2. What vehicles are you using to get the 3 stars?

Ariel Nomad, Lamborghini Murcielago, and others. You have to experiment and try different vehicles for them. Sometimes using the most unconventional vehicles ends up getting you the 3 stars.

Other than the timber mill (which I still have 2 stars on), I have relied mostly on a X999 '16 Aventador and a highly tuned Arial Nomad (also useful for the XP boards in odd places).

^ 1m short of 3 stars but it gives you an idea on how to beat the Timber Mill jump and the car to use. For some of the other jumps like the one at the bridge/gully near the Yarra Valley outpost I used a Koenigsegg One:1 with AWD swap.

Most of mine were done in an Ariel Nomad maxed out on the standard engine. The rest were done using a GT HE, maxed out with a twin turbo V12.

Most of the ones I had to actually try to get 3 stars on rather than just incidentally getting 3 stars with whatever car I was screwing around in at the time, I got with the One:1 or the Nomad. The one exception I recall was the river jump. For that I had to use a vehicle with enough clearance to get some speed in the river - one of the Raptors, I think.

The only ones that I really struggled to complete were the Timber Mill and Surfers Paradise ones. I ended up using an Ariel Nomad, but found that initially the suspension was far too soft to get enough distance at surfers, so just stiffen it up a bit, but not too much, and it can be done.

sorry, double post

Thanks for the suggestions. Looks like I will be breaking out my Nomad.

OK, let’s talk about making the Nomad a jump vehicle. Are there any secrets to it? I had mine tuned for racing so I am guessing my suspension settings are wrong for jumping, since where I have tried it’s not working. I am guessing the suspension has to be more springy than what I have mine set to. Any suggestions?

I found the 2012 Aventador running off road suspension and tyres got me 3 stars on nearly every jump first time.

Approach path and speed as well as ‘exit’ path can make a considerable difference in distance.

As you get close to the needed distance, rewind can be your best friend!

Believe it or not, using a Dodge Dart with a good drag tune is an easy way to get 3 stars at the Timber Mill. Got it the first time after I found out about it.

I did most of them in a drag tuned Koenigsegg One. The traction might be a Problem, but I got used to it. + collected all the more difficult XP signs.

I myself used a V12TT AWD Dodge Dart drag build retuned and repurposed for straight-line, off-road speed and stability. It’s actually quite good; I’ve been able to smash some of the 3* requirements and even get in the top 1000 on some of the danger sign LBs.

I tried the Dart but couldn’t seem to get far enough with it. But I did find a car in my Garage that does the trick, the Ford GT HE with an X-Class AWD tune. It takes a couple or so tries to learn the correct line but I have 3 starred all that I tried last night. Thanks again, guys.

If you want something different and crazy, a V10 swapped Jeep Renegade fully stripped out make for some good jumps, if you can control it on the run up!

For the Timber Mill, just pick something with crazy acceleration, Rally Monsters and V12 AWD swapped hypercars work well. The river one in Yarra Valley is super annoying, I used a maxed Gurkha because water is like road to it. Pick a high ride height for it if you don’t have a Gurkha though.

Thanks for the Gurkha tip on the river one. I tried it tonight with the GT and you cannot get any speed at all on the approach.

I have tried and tried with the Gurkha and I have gotten to just 4’ SHORT of the 3rd star on the River jump. No matter what I try setup wise I cannot hit the jump any faster than 111 which is just not fast enough to get over 350 feet. I am always at 344 to 346. So Frustrating! What am I missing?
