Best cars for each stat type?

i would like to know if anyone would happen to know which car is best in each stat (be it stock or modified),such as:
-highest top speed
-highest torque
-least time to reach 0-60 mph/ 100 kmh
-braking force
-lateral g-force

Which of these stats do you think would be “perfect” for you in a car?

I haven’t transcribed very car’s benchmark stats yet but you can see the progress I’ve made in my spreadsheet at www.ManteoMax.com

0-60: 2.300 seconds 1999 BMW #15 BMW V12 LMR
0-100: 4.020 seconds 2015 Lotus E23
Top Speed: 267.7 mph 2011 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
60-0: 67.8 feet 1988 McLaren #12 Honda McLaren MP4/4
100-0: 147.7 feet 1988 McLaren #12 Honda McLaren MP4/4
60mph g’s: 1.92 1988 McLaren #12 Honda McLaren MP4/4
100mph g’s: 3.23 1988 McLaren #12 Honda McLaren MP4/4
60-100: 1.560 seconds 2015 Lotus E23
HP: 1341 2015 Koenigsegg One:1
Torque: 1155 2012 Hennessey Venom GT
Wt/HP: 1.66 lbs/hp 2015 Lotus E23

Caveat: these numbers are a calculation based on the game’s software physics. Ultimately how the car performs will depend on more significant factors than the stats, such as the track type. I just like looking over the numbers because I find them interesting.

Wow, nice work, haven’t seen anything as detailed as this yet, i’m impressed

Most racers are more interested in 0-100mph than 0-60mph…

I guess that’s a new one, in the old das, people where more interested in 0-60mph, but i am nuts for lateral g’s, if i would drive a car it would be one that could do high lateral g’s, i just can’t get enough of those “neck breaking” corner cutters, its that and lightweight 4wd cars, oh man, those ones are total beasts. Back in Horizon, i mostly used the Ferrari F50 GT for races, it would win almost every time, and also the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, one of the best 4wd cars i have ever had the pleasure to drive, its a shame they don’t have these cars in the new Forza’s, i really missed them.

MP4/4 stops faster than E23?

Best 0-60 AND 1-100 Ive seen was the D-type. Of course is was modified

None.

Each stat is pointless to a degree. To get the best at something (via upgrades) you’re losing out somewhere else. Does that loss compromise what you’re trying to accomplish?

The stats only matter if you have a clear idea where you want the car to be productive. Example: top speed is very important for all Daytona layouts but not Laguna. With laguna you may focus on braking…but how’s the acceleration? If it’s bad your asking to get bogged down in traffic online.

Then again a stat queen could still be slower because you spent too much PI mindlessly focusing on one stat.

Don’t fall into the stat trap.

Just like in real life, the car needs to be balanced to be useful. Nothing wrong in chasing stats but is not a surprise when a supposedly “slower” car pulls away over the course of the race. All about maintaining pace, think energy conservation in dog fighting - any momentum you lose you need to gain back.

Of course i am not restricting anyone to just one stat, but multiple stats, in fact, the higher each stat in a car the more “perfect”, if i should say so, the car is, take for example, most F1 cars can fill just about any of these stats, making them the ideal racing machine, and of course like said above, by focusing on a stat you will end up losing something else.

Lotus E23
Speed of 8.1
Handl. of 9.8
Accel. of 9.6
Brake of 9.8
As we can see, it has one of the highest and balanced stats, altough it has a low-ish top speed

McLaren Mp4/4
Speed of 7.7
Handl. of 10.0
Accel. of 10.0
Brake of 10.0
This legendary racer has it all to become the best racing machine in the game, although that top speed… is worrying

now lets take a look at the past, and see one of Forza 4’s most competitive racing car.

Mercedes Sauber C9 (fully upgraded)
Speed of 10.0
Handl. of 10.0
Accel. of 10.0
Brake of 10.0
Look at this monster, all stats are almost completely filled, except in Forza 4 this car had one small problem, its Launch stat which would indicate an 8.8, This car could compete with just about anything you throw at it, yet its stats wouldn’t be made the best anyway, since the details in each one aren’t the best, there where still better cars, but enough said, lets go back to reality…

These are just stats, they can mean nothing, but they might also mean everything, so lets try to define these once and for all, according to their lateral g’s the McLaren does 3.23@100mph, that’s by far one the highest we’ve ever had in Forza, ever, just down the list comes the Lotus with 2.95@100mph, it seems their stats aren’t lying as we would thought, except the C9 does 1.98@100mph yet it has a stat of 10.0 as well, but here is where the margin of error comes in, in a game, all global stats are made to fit one limit, so it couldn’t be possible for it have 10.0 if it where to be in Forza 6, so these stats for how accurate they might be, are not correct if compared to other games, besides, a simulator can’t be 100% accurate on everything, yet these “indications” might be tricking us, if you have 2 different cars with very similar stats, they won’t be performing the same, so these stats trully aren’t trustworthy. That said, i was just looking for a car with the best stats in-game, not to how good or poorly they would perform in a race.

Does anybody know if I should sell my 2015 Lotus e23 for the Bugatti. For the speed

Most important stat is the one holding the controller.

The stats are utterly useless for lower classes. I don’t race the higher classes so I’m going to run with what I know here. A Dodge Challenger r/t with the Hemi in d class and an acceleration stat of 7.6 will get blown out of the water by the same challenger swapped to a centrifugal supercharged 350 with around 400 hp (less than the Hemi and way less torque) and its accel stat will say 7.6.

The same is true of cars with the Honda VTEC swap but the results are even more dramatic. The fiat spider with a stock VTEC engine swap and handling upgrades gets to somewhere between 7.2 and 7.4 acceleration but it’s easily as quick as cars without that swap with higher accel stats.

At the end of the day the only thing that matters is knowing what upgrades get the most out of a car and which ones to avoid. The stats almost never represent what a car can really do. I have a 70 corvette on stock tires with a 4.3 handling stat and it’s quite good around corners, way better than you would think. Watching the stats never tells the whole story.

most important stat is unavailable and would likely be 60-120. Otherwise the most important attribute is acceleration, irl.
