Barrett-Jackson Car Pack for FM7

Well then it’s not a bad pack for less than 4$…

Disagree. There is one car that is worthy of being added to the game, which isn’t a deal at $4.

It’s not necessarily the price point for most of us though I think. It’s more the fact that they have told us that they are listening and are making steps to bring the motorsport back to Forza Motorsport after years and years of pleading with them, and after they tell us that, they give us this. We could have had a pack that added sorely missing vehicles from popular divisions, or capitalized on their supposed IMSA partnership, or even added neat quirky cars that actually belong on a race track… But they didn’t.

Instead they wasted a bunch of time modelling a bunch of show cars that will never see a racetrack other than for a photo shoot… and if it’s true that Craig Jackson personally requested a few of these, cars that are only here to stroke some rich guy’s ego who doesn’t have a clue what the core fanbase is interested in… and likely doesn’t even play these games.

The greatest dissapointing car pack all time. Not because of the cars itself. Each one of theme are unique. But this reaally not what the most want. I don’t know whats so hard to understand that not less people are want imsa dpi, gtd cars and indycars.
Okay whe got the m8 gte last month. But that car is not the most wanted because whe got the m6 gtlm…no r8 lms gt, no mercedes amg gt, no mazda dpi, no acura dpi, no Cadillac dpi. This are the most asked cars in streams.
The best you are that ignorant to say in the stream that this pack is so fantastic and the loyal stream audience is simply disappointed. Only the shelby have a positive reply.
This game start as a motorsport focused game and was until fm4 very successful. Even most of the actual racecars must payed via dlc.
I know that some people say that every car is great and whe are selfish. But if you want make private leagues. Forza get more and more uninteresting and instead to give the game more motorsport features, whe are used at beta testers for their multiplayer for the next fm title.
I know you put a lot of resources in the multiplayer update, but without strategic pitstops and flagsystem people would say gt sport is more modern. Even if you put so much work in that feature you will not sell more copys and I say so far no solution to separate fair from unfair drivers. To say someone is allowed to drive unfair to a number of penalties, that solve not the problem. Because the don’t care about penalties so long they can have “fun” at the start.
The world is not flat and it spins and for sure turn 10 is not the middle of universe. With a motorsport car pack you guys have shown the people that you care in motorsport and not in spotlighting single racecars without competition.
Forza car selection is great but not at imsa cars. Whe have no single car from the biggest imsa class since the old daytona prototypes.
To celebrate imsa this would had be a great chance. But it’s really a great dissapointing. Because they let us wait that long. Is it so hard to say no whe are making no dpi cars and even not actual gtd cars. Then whe all had knowing what whe had to expect.

5 of the 7 cars are in Forza Specials.

Ugh…

Figures smh. All they have to do is make two or three more divisions… THAT’S ALL! On a better note it is cool doing a race having the hot wheels bone shaker and the 3 new hot rods all race each other.

It’s a shame there’s not a Hot Rods & Customs category the 3 hot rods could’ve gone into.

LOL. Well played. I guess the cars are just too powerful, just like what happened with the 917/30.

I have to admit I was pretty shocked when I saw the specs on that Double-Down. 9.4L?!?!? 825 hp?!?!? Jeee-ZUZZZ.

why oh, why…

There is a Hot Rod group.

There is a “Vintage” Off-Road group. (…don’t know Why, but there is… Where are the dirt ovals or supercross or… something?)

May as well have called Forza “Specials” the Garage Queen group.

Am I the only one that since this update is now no longer a car pass member even tho I paid for it and have had it the entire time. And now I can’t access any of those cars!?!? (This pack or previous cars)

Try reinstalling the car pass, sometimes it uninstalls itself.

Tbh, I’m disappointed as well. I mean, I love em all but, if they wanna add fun cars to drive, they should do it for Horizon. Offroaders, buggies, rally cars, etc aren’t meant to be driven on race tracks. They deserve their own terrain. Buggies, and Champion trucks should go to the desert. Rally cars to the snow or dirt, idk. Since it’s forza Motorsport, they should make rally and trailblazer races real. And keep horizon Fun and ez. Idk. Turn 10, please consider it. Nobody buys a modified Ford Bronco to drive it on Laguna Seca. Same goes for Ken’s focus and Tanner’s Beetle.

Most people are clueless about these cars. Many haven’t even driven them at all.

The 1932 Double Down has 825 bhp. How to fit it in Hot Rod division, with PI limit of 350? lol

Then, the “solution”: put it in Horizon. Of course. Except that, last I checked, there’s an R-class hopper in FM7. It’s probably banned there due to being open-wheel, but if it was the Mach 5 from Speed Racer instead it would attract the same negative attention. And let’s not forget we got the Exocet V8, a car that’s much less “drivable” and also a Forza Specials member, in July’s coveted Top Gear Pack.

The Bronco on the other hand has no business being seen near any race event, including Horizon. It’s a blingmobile. As slow as it is, it’d require extensive modification to be competitive anyway, which defeats the purpose of the vehicle. Not Forza’s brightest addition, but eh, whatever. Every pack has its lemon (Top Gear’s was the Exocet, as said).

The Hula Girl and Plymouth Atomic Punk are nice to drive and could be made to work in the lower classes. Open-wheel trait from the Plymouth could be a problem.

The Chevelle is intended for the hoppers, with an A700 preset. It’s a pro touring custom, it doesn’t fit the theme of Classic Street Muscle nor Nostalgic Drag Racers. It’s the sort of car I’d want to drive in Horizon, but there’s really nothing in the current month of FH4’s Car Pass I could find myself wishing to trade the Chevelle for, apart from the NSX-R GT. 992CS? There’s a dozen 911s in the game. 968 Turbo S? Totally redundant in face of the 944 Turbo. Hillman Imp, Kadett? Would be met with similar rage. Mustang? We got a Cuda. Mercedes SSK? People have hated on the packs featuring the Bugatti Type 35 and the Alfa 8C 2300. Transit? lol

Seeing the 992 in FH4 and not FM7 probably has more symbolic significance than practical. It means FH4 will hog most if not all of the street cars from now on. It’s not a decision I’m comfortable with, but, in times when people keep asking for more and more race cars, the chances of getting a Spotlight Car that’s not a race car are slim. Last ones we got were the 991.2 GT3 RS and the 2018 Civic Type-R almost a year ago, and neither is your average street car.

These very forums that see confusion with this pack have also seen people nagging T10 to unlock the VW Bus and fix the 1932 Ford, cars which scream “Horizon”. And I don’t drive the Bus that much even in Horizon, it’s slow and inferior to the Beetle in every way. I’d easily trade any variation of the Bus for the Type 3 we have in FM7.

That’s more a problem with the limits of homologation. A number of the categories should probably have more than one tier of homologation. But I digress.

I didn’t get a chance to drive the Bronco, but I’d love to drive something like that around the likes of Laguna Seca. It’s one of a handful of tracks I frequently choose for test driving, anyway. That’ll be next on my Forza agenda.

I only had time to briefly play around with the Atomic Punk and the Shelby. The former was a lot of fun to drive - I think I kept it in B with the stock tires because white walls. The Shelby was not fun. I may try to tune it, or swap it to AWD when I have more time.

If only the game had more cars to race than this selection Turn 10 could be onto something.

Now THIS is what I like to see,I love old cars, anything from original to full blown, thank you so much Turn 10 for keeping us ol’skoocar lovers in mind as well, some of us aren’t all about the latest 4 banger import or 2000 this and 2012 that, some the most characteristic artistic and even iconic cars we’re made in the 1900’s

Hope youre joking. Turn10s homologation & class-system is a tragic joke to a true grease-head. What is the point of having a 1963 Shelby Monaco when it is “homologated” up to 600hp? Forget about historic racing, this is moore hysteric racing.

The only way out of this is to give several cars the option to choose between at least two different classes. A 1963 prototype hotted up to 600hp and then not even allowed to run sports-tyres is a bad joke.
