"banned"

Ok so, first off, I just wanted to say thanks for reading this. On August 22nd, 2016 I was banned from sending/receiving cars and accessing the auction house. Im not sure why i was banned as I have not done anything wrong. I was sitting in the paint shop making a nice paint for my car when I backed out and put a store bought vinyl onto the side of my car, I then backed out all of the way to be able to drive around and see how it looked. But the loading screen was taking forever so I shut off my Xbox and turned it back on. When I started up my game after clicking on single player the loading screen again was taking forever, but this time I didn’t stop it. After about 5 minutes a message popped up saying to clean my disk and try again. The friends in my party kept saying that I had a corrupt save so I got a little worried. I plugged in my USB that had my backup save on it in case something like this ever happened. It worked and I was able to get into the game and drive around. I asked my friend who had a copy of my car to send it back to me but I couldn’t accept it. I then tried to send a car to him when I got the message saying I was banned. It says that the cheat detectors detected me cheating (i dont know what I did)Please, I hope you guys can fix this. I play horizon daily and me and my friends sending cars back and fourth are a big part of it. Thanks again for reading and I hope you all have a nice day.

What you did was attempt to use a “back-up” copy of your game save and that triggered the anti-cheat mechanism “fix” on the servers. Way back in the original Forza Motorsport, people attempted to cheat by selling off their cars and then bringing in their “back-up” to restore those which were sold, and repeated that, which is a violation of the Xbox Live Code of Conduct. The anti-cheat software on the servers automatically detects such attempts now, and automatically places a permanent ban.

Neither bans nor the enforcement of the regulations by Turn 10 are discussed on these forums. You may send an email to them at forzafb@microsoft.com.
