Does anyone else feel that the way bans are handed out in Online Ranked Adventures are a bit too trigger-happy?
I’ve been seeing reports that a single leave can net you a temporary ban. It’s not like some of the other games I play with ranked lobbies, where a single leave wouldn’t net you a penalty but multiple leaves over a specified time period would eventually net you a ban which gets more and more serious the longer it goes.
I think bans should be handed out in frequencies, and not based on a single leave as players can leave for a multitude of reasons, not necessarily because they were ragequitting.
On the subject of ranked adventures, anyone else think it should be solo-only?
I’ve been playing ranked adventure since yesterday and keep getting banned for quitting. One time I was disconnected from Horizon Life in the middle of the race. Do you have to ban people who got disconnected from the game? The fact that there is an in-game message for such situations means it can be detected, so maybe you could alter the ban logic here?
Another situation was when I was waiting to get connected to a ranked adventure, which usually takes about 5 minutes, with multiple failed lobby creation attempts. While driving around I flipped the car on the roof and got re-spawned. This was counted as quitting (I wasn’t in a lobby yet, just waiting to be connected) and resulted in another ban. Could it be that we have to wait for ages to connect to a ranked adventure, because loads of players are banned for quitting?
I think part of the problem is that it takes so long to connect. It will first search for a session, only if everybody accepts will they enter a session, then everybody needs to connect. During that time you are somewhere in between, not in the game, not in Horizon Life. If you quit at that point you will get a timed ban.

literly nothing i did its the game/server wont be long before people are getting 7days/30days? perm bans? for simply playing ranked and not doing anything wrong

Same here. I got banned several times last night for ‘leaving’ which I never did. I noticed if I start to search for the ranked adventures and I joined coop or pvp mode through online seasonal events or online players’ host instead, I will get banned message once I start to search for ranked again after I finished the coop or pvp mode.
This team ranked banning is getting completely out of hand last night i did a 3 hour plus stream and 90% of trying to get into ranked games ended up being banned.
Tried to do a private changed mind game asked if i wanted to stop match making chose yes got banned.
Tried to choose a game said 11of 12 showed up stayed that way for 10 minutes then got banned.
Really hope you can fix this stupid banning i mean whats next drive the car get banned, turn the game on get banned,stub my toe get banned, or maybe even just breath and get banned.
i mean other then this little hiccup the game is fun and great but if you dont fix this i would bet your online dies real fast along with tons of other complaints about matching or other online play styles.

what the hell is this, spent a few hours to find a working ranked match as most them kick the team out once we pick a car, i then found a match where my team had 3 of us and the other had 6, after 3 rounds we were kicked into a free roam together and then we were banned
Forza needs to fix this online ranked team adventure match making. Everytime we try to play as a team 2-3 guys get disconnected and banned for over an hour from the ranked adventures. It is garbage. That on top of the fact that it takes forever to try and find a match. Anyone else having these issues? Has Forza addressed this issue at all?
I’m a level 130 and have been trying to do a ranked adventure since I unlocked it. I’ve never got in one so last night my friends and I created a team and tried it that way. After having it search for a ranked adventure for what had to be 20 minutes each time I had the ranked adventure load 2 times. And…both times I was disconnected and banned. Worst online MP in any of the Horizon games as far as I’m concerned. It’s bad enough it’s only team adventure and getting banned for just trying to join one is awful.
So I attempted to join a ranked team adventure (anyone else who has tried knows how time consuming/almost impossible this is) and eventually managed after about 25 minutes.
After selecting a car and waiting for others it kicked us all back to freeroam (in the summer as that was when the adventure was supposed to take place) as one player had quit. After donuting with the others for a little, I noticed players leaving so I went to leave too. At this point there were only 5 left in the session.
When I chose the “Abandon Adventure” option I was told i would be banned from ranked adventure and my league ranking would be penalised. As I didn’t want this I was forced to wait until it decided to eventually put me in a freeroam session (another 15 minutes)
This is such a pleasing game in one player but any attempt at online is ruined (not just this but many, many issues with attempting to play with friends). An acknowledgement of the faults and a promise of a fix would be so appreciated. I am patient and understand a fix may take a while to implement but to have no comment at all is just downright rude and insulting to everyone who bought the game!

I know others have had the same problem but I’m putting my tuppence worth in as well. Eventually get in a ranking adventure and get disconnected after one round. I’ve probably got as high a speed and as secure a connection as you can have but I still got disconnected. I know it can’t be from my side. I decided to do a couple of other things before having another wait to see if I can get into another team game. Then I find out I’m banned because I left my previous game. That was over two hours ago. I’m leaving it for the night. If I’m still banned tomorrow, I’ll not be playing this game any more. I’m just thankful it was part of my Xbox Pass. I was thinking of going for the VIP package but that’s not happening now.
