Bad performance and texture pop-in after playing for several hours

My game starts stuttering/lagging/freezing and the “low streaming bandwidth” error message sometimes pops up after I have played it for several hours. Before this happens I’m able to play the game on high settings with constant 60 FPS without any issues.

These issues continue to appear even after I have rebooted my game and they do not appear in any other game. When I start a benchmark after rebooting the game the benchmark runs smoothly at high settings with an average of about 60 FPS. I didn’t have any issues like this with FM7 or FH3.

What I have tried:

Rebooting the game
Rebooting my PC
Setting the games priority to “high”
Changing my video settings
Updating my drivers

My Specs:

AMD FX 8350 Black Edition @ 4.0 GHz
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 Windforce OC - 6GB
8GB RAM

The game is installed on a HDD

It could be you are running out of RAM due to the way Windows mishandles it, see link or google Windows standby memory. You can use a small program to clear the cache when RAM is running low.

I had the same problem as you even with 16GB of RAM. Since I did the above, I haven’t had any further problems, yet. By default, Windows stupidly caches multiple gigabytes of stuff you don’t need or want, and refuses to release this RAM for currently running programs.

Unfortunately this didn’t fix my problem. I’ll guess I’ll just have to keep on looking for a fix

I’ll try this and post an update the next time my game starts acting up again^^

It’s me again and I have…good news?

Well after playing around with some settings once again I had to restart my game which ended in my pc freezing. After force-rebooting and starting the game a message showed up that said “New hardware components found” or someting lile that. The game then set my video settings back to high and guess what: I suddenly have almost no performance issues anymore. (Only some micro sutters)

Anyways I’ll keep posting updated if the game continues to run like it’s supposed to or not^^
