Autozam AZ-1 should belong to Mazda

Autozam AZ-1 should be changed to Mazda Autozam AZ-1.

PGG bears a great deal of responsibility for creating many misunderstood users due to the mistaken perception that “Autozam is a car manufacturer.”

Autozam is just a temporary sub-brand created by Mazda,
in other words, it’s just the name of a sales channel. Just like “Eunos” and “ε֮fini” ,too.
There was also a sub-brand called Autorama, but the Japanese models of the Ford cars sold there were not included in Forza (they were all North American models), so you don’t need to consider them.

In Forza, Eunos Roadster (MX-5 Miata) is a Mazda, and ε֮fini RX-7 (1992 RX-7) is also recorded as a Mazda.
For some reason, only Autozam AZ-1 is named after the fictional car manufacturer Autozam.
This rule is particularly disadvantageous in Forza Motorsport, so the car manufacturer name should be changed to Mazda.

Note: The spelling of “ε֮fini” is historically correct as determined by Mazda at the time, so characters other than the English alphabet are unavoidably used. I cannot write lies.
It is possible to change the spelling to “efini” on the condition that you don’t call me a liar.

Let me briefly explain why Mazda had so many different names at the time.

At the time, Toyota, Nissan, and Honda all had multiple channels in Japan.
In order to have a lineup of different cars for each sales channel, many cars with the same internals but different faces appeared. For example, the Toyota Chaser that was added to FH5 was called “Mark II” or “Cresta” on other channels. These are all Toyotas.
The reason why the famous AE86 exists as both the Sprinter Trueno and the Corolla Levin is also due to differences in sales channels.

Mazda followed suit and increased its sales channels from three to five, resulting in five channels: “Mazda,” “Eunos,” “efini,” “Autozam,” and “Autorama.”

However, after 1990, the Japanese economy went into recession and Mazda was no longer able to maintain five channels.

In today’s Japanese market, all manufacturers only have a single sales channel.
Toyota has only kept its names (Toyota Store, Toyopet Store, Netz Store, Corolla Store), but all stores handle all products.

From the above explanation, I hope you understand that there is no problem in integrating AZ-1 into Mazda.

The proliferation of small manufacturers puts you at a disadvantage in the game.
Separating Mazda and Autozam would put Autozam at a disadvantage.

In the past, in FM4, if you reached Level 4 in friendship with a manufacturer, all cars from the same manufacturer were given a free upgrade.
In the current FM, if you reach Level 50 for a car, the price of cars from the same manufacturer is discounted by 5% (up to 25%).
These rules are disadvantageous to small manufacturers.

Also, in the case of Mazda, dispersing manufacturers will result in some MX-5s and RX-7s being dispersed, making it difficult to find the car you want. Would you still separate Eunos and efini from Mazda?

Therefore, manufacturers should be consolidated as much as possible.

Well I would disagree, because Autozam is a brand by Mazda, the same way Lexus is a brand made by toyota or Infiniti is a brand made by Nissan.

By your logic, If we did that to the Autozam we have to name the Lexus SC300 as the Toyota Soarer.
In FH4 the Infiniti Q50 would called instead the Nissan Skyline.

The reason they are known as Mazda’s because for most of the Mazda decided to name them as Mazda’s.
The reason Autozam is called Autozam because it only served Japan and the only other rebadged version of this is called the Suzuki Carra and Mazda decided not to rebadge the car to Mazda.
The car only had the Autozam and Suzuki badge on it.

So if we want to get technical it should be called the Suzuki Carra, but there is a reason why we don’t have Suzuki in FH5.

@T10ManteoMax

If Autozam is called an automobile manufacturer, the Toyota Chaser and Sprinter Trueno that appear in FH5 would have to be called the dealership name “Toyota Auto (now Netz Toyota)” as the automobile manufacturer. However, no one would say that. They are all Toyota cars. It is so strange to call Autozam an automobile manufacturer. As I have said many times before, Autozam is not the name of an automobile manufacturer, but the name of a dealership.

Lexus, Infiniti, and Acura were also just sub-brands at first. But they grew into car manufacturers. Mazda hoped that Eunos, efini, and Autozam would also grow into car manufacturers, but unfortunately that didn’t happen.

Your statement can be interpreted as “The problem is that the service was only provided in Japan.” This statement should be retracted as it does not capture the essence of the issue.

There are several car manufacturers that do not exist in North America. The fact that the car is only sold in Japan is not an issue. The problem is that they could not grow into car manufacturers. And the problem is the lack of consistency in not recognizing Eunos and efini as car manufacturers but only Autozam as a car manufacturer.

In this matter, Mazda’s will takes precedence over everything else. Everyone, including T10 and PGG, must follow Mazda’s will. Because they’re all Mazda property.

First of all, the fact that Autozam is owned by Mazda is a bare minimum premise for this topic. It’s something I have no obligation to explain.

Suzuki Chara is a product of Mazda selling the AZ-1 to Suzuki, and Suzuki selling it to users. This is called OEM. Mazda did not sell the AZ-1 to Autozam as an OEM. Mazda sold the AZ-1 at a store called Autozam. The two are fundamentally different.

The name of the car manufacturer is written on the Japanese vehicle inspection certificate. If it’s a Nissan GT-R, the vehicle inspection certificate will say “Nissan.”

From now on, I’m sorry to say that this is based on Wikipedia research, but the name of the car manufacturer for the AZ-1 is written as Mazda. Incidentally, the Eunos Roadster is sometimes called Eunos and sometimes called Mazda. Mazda’s sub-brands are so ambiguous that unfortunately they are not suitable to be called car manufacturers.

I never said Manufacturer, I just said brand.

Also the car is Unique enough as it was under the Autozam Brand, not manufacturer, just.
The same way the Lexus RC in under the Lexus Brand, On the english version of Wikipedia it says Toyota as Manufacturer, we don’t go calling the RC, the Toyota Lexus RC.

Even on the Japanese Wikipedia Page it says, " The AZ-1 (AZ-1) is a two-seater sports coupe that was sold by Autozam, a company that was created when Mazda switched to a five - channel model."

This implies that Autozam was a company, not manufacturer.
This is what the english wikipedia says, " The Lexus RC (Japanese: レクサス・RC, Rekusasu RC ) is a compact executive two-door sport coupé manufactured by Lexus, Toyota’s luxury division."

Autozam and Lexus, used in this comparison, are both Division. Never touched the word, Manufacturer.

So let’s look up “Autozam” on the Japanese Wikipedia. Autozam is described as “Type: Car dealership.” It is not a car manufacturer company. That’s why I don’t really like using Wikipedia as evidence. That’s why I wrote “I’m sorry to say.” However, it seems to be true that the AZ-1’s vehicle inspection certificate said Mazda.

From a gaming perspective, there is no benefit to overly segmenting car manufacturers. Eunos and efini, which are in the same position, are not considered car manufacturers in Forza. They have no consistency.

I don’t want to say the same thing over and over again.
It is inappropriate to compare Lexus with Autozam. Lexus has become a car manufacturer. Eunos, efini, and Autozam were just brands. They are not car manufacturers, so it is inappropriate to treat them as car manufacturers in the game.

FH5 has a function to sort by car manufacturer. I bought AZ-1 with DLC and tried hard to find Mazda, but I couldn’t find it. In Forza, since both the Eunos Roadster and the efini RX-7 are Mazdas, I assumed the AZ-1 would be included in the Mazda tab.

Then, when I looked closely, I found a mysterious car manufacturer tab called “Autozam”, and AZ-1 was there. I only recognized Autozam as a car dealer, and I also knew that Forza does not recognize Eunos or efini as car manufacturers. So I was surprised by both.

“Company” is a vague term. I am completely and utterly certain that Autozam is a dealership, in other words a sales company. It is not a car manufacturing company.

Therefore, I take issue with treating Autozam as a car manufacturing company by Forza.

Perhaps many people misunderstood Autozam to be like Chevrolet under GM, or Dodge under Chrysler.
Which is what Eunos, Efini and Autozam were aiming for, but unfortunately that never happened.
