Auto drive exploit in multiplayer

Is it possible that if a driver is on pause during the race they can be kicked due to inactivity?
People are just pausing as soon as the race starts to count up their total on the challenge hub

This is actually pretty smart. I will do that now, too. Doing the 10 races is more effective time wise than doing the single player races (even when AI drives). This is a behavior that is a direct result of locking away content behind races nobody wants to do. Single player is boring as always, and the multiplayer lobby is totally stupid with its 4 classes and non-balanced cars. It’s actually not a race.

So before we should complain about people exploiting the pause mode during multiplayer races we should go to the root of the cause and eliminate the obligation to do silly races in order to get hands on content that imho should be available like every other content: for in-game credits.
