Bought a car (MB W154) in the auction house. Did “buy it now” not a bid. Success, I got the car. But the money has left my game, the car is not in my garage, and no messages or auction alerts. According to the autoshow I own the W154 but I don’t actually have it. Ideas? I’m out 5.5million…
There should be a mail in the auction house you go to in order to claim the car. I don’t use the AH much and not for a while if I am remembering the system correct.
Yep I’ve checked there. I’ve bought plenty of cars before and they’ve all been fine, this one just isn’t anywhere.
Check can you see that car when selecting car before race, as many people have “ghost” car on garage that cant see while in garage but can choose when selecting car before race.
I’ve had problems before with cars disappearing from my garage, and I’ve heard other players report it as well. They’re not completely gone (as evidenced by the game saying you own it), but it won’t show up in the garage UI.
This happened to me with the Porsche Cayman (the one-time reward one) and I purchased another one in the AH since I assumed I must have accidentally sold one, only to suddenly have both show up in my garage after claiming the car from the auction. I’ve also heard of players saying things about creating custom blueprints that require that specific car which got it to appear.
Ok so if I start a vintage racer race (in another car) I can select the W154. However, it doesn’t show up in the garage as my “current car” and still doesn’t show up in the garage if I switch vehicles.
So, yay for not having lost nearly 6 mil. But nay for the garage not letting me have (simple) access to the car. Oh and yay for the community for being a great knowledge base.
