Aston Martin Vantage GT3 brakes

So I loved this car when it was included in the game, that is until I got into tuning cars myself and went to tune this one only to find out that putting race brakes on it breaks homologation. This makes no sense at all. First of all if I was a customer buying a race package from a company like Aston Martin and they just threw stock brakes on it I’d be a bit miffed. Second I decided to look up the specs and would you know it they have adjustable brakes on it.

BRAKES
• Six pot front calipers
• Ventilated front brake disc
• Four pot rear caliper
• Ventilated rear brake disc
• Floor mounted pedal box
• Manually adjustable front/rear brake bias
• Race developed ABS and traction control

Does Turn 10 even do their homework when it comes to speccing these GT Cars?

Brakes don’t usually bump the PI that much. Is there naught that can be shuffled around in the upgrades to work them in? Sometimes just adding heavy rims can do the trick.

Hey thanks for that tip. Think I had to throw the heaviest set of rims on there to get them to make restrictions but that worked. Still silly this car doesn’t come with race brakes by default for the stated reason above tho.

Forza race brakes are carbon fibre ceramic break disk, not ventilated steel… Only way to fix would be to supply another set of breaks that are made from steel and ventilated with adjustable bios settings with out Adjustable Pressure.

So not likely to happen

Well you have to remember, when Forza brings in new cars they have to now be homologated. That means they have to find PI from somewhere hence the race brake upgrade.

The reason this happens is because there’s a homologation system but the whole set of upgrades for each car is still based on the old class system. If you put race brakes, open up the restrictors and increase tire width on this car, it’ll surely reach R900 without much trouble.

This is actually pretty surprising, because it happens on the DLC cars as well. No idea why Turn 10 would subtract the ability to adjust brakes on these cars when lesser road cars like Ferraris and even the BMW M4 have race brakes as default.

I would expect Forza GT division to require as few upgrades as possible, which is why I find it disappointing that you not only have a Race brakes upgrade but also have it cost excess PI. And I don’t want to put heavy 5-lug wheels on a GT3/GTE car, so…
