I have been a VIP member and Car Pass since FM7 was released. Lately when I have gone to race certain cars (BMW M6 GT3 - for example) a Purchase Option screen appears and I have to pay $4.45 AUD if I want to race or paint the car. I have been racing the car already for the past few months or so. Why is it suddenly telling me I have to buy the car again, when it was given to me for free the first time it was released.

Have just started up the game myself and found exact same issue. I don’t play regularly (probably once every couple weeks) so wouldn’t know how long it’s been like it. Pretty annoying though.
Double check that the dlc is still installed
The recent xbox update may have deleted it from your console…as some updates have been known to do this in the past

Pretty sure that explains why I had three ready to install car packs on all three of my consoles after the last update. I’ve always installed them when they show ready, even though I’ve already added the cars.

So, after a week of no replies (Particularly from Turn 10) I’m to assume that I’ve pretty much been screwed over by an Update, and that the only way I’m going to fix this issue is to give in and buy my own cars back again. And whats this other crap I keep getting when I try to look up Designs about my “Gamer Tag Not Able To Be Varified By The Server”. [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] does that mean? I’m on an XBox One console.

Have you double checked that all your DLC is in fact still installed…it’s a common issue that it does uninstall them with xbox updates…not just this game either

How do I do that? And if they’re gone, how do I go about getting them back? The cars are in full photo in my garage. They just have a down-pointing arrow now and ask me to buy them when I try to get in them. I’m still a VIP member which was installed with the same activation code. I tried re-installing the code, but it’s saying that it’s already in use. I didn’t ignore the responses, and I simpathise with others who are having the same issue. And is the issue with the Server not recognising my Gamertag regardless of what time of day or night I try to access the Design Mode, related.
You reinstall them by going into manage game for fm7 and look in the “ready to install” section and press install on anything that’s in there
Thanks Buddy. Checked in Ready To Install but nothing was there. But when I checked in the Add Ons, there was a free Honda Civic Type R car available. So I downloaded it. Halfway through what I thought was download, the machine freezes, then shuts itself off (Black Screen). I was just about to do a cold boot, when it springs back to life, re-launches the game, and now everything seems to be working OK. Both the cars being mine again, and getting access to the Design and Vinyl modes.
Weird solution to the problem. So how can I mark this as resolved and let everyone else who is having the issues to at least try that.

Sounds like you use instant on. It’s good to unplug your Xbox once in awhile when it’s shut down, to let it reset and boot up normal.

I was hit with this crap yesterday myself, all my car pass cars ive been racing with, some since day one are all now showimg the download arrow that when clicked on says i can purchase the car individually or the car pack and directs me to the marketplace. Yet another total failure on Turn 10 who never once has addressed a concern nor have they ever responded to one of my requests for assistance. The cars are in my garage, I raced with some yesterday… then poof, I have to now purchase the car pass again? What a joke.

Too stupid to do that…might solve their “issue” which isnt an actual game issue but an xbox issue and will most likely happen to them every time there is an xbox update

Certainly, I tried the suggestion without success and then I wrote my post. You draw very quick conclusions on people you don’t know.
Actually, my IQ is quite high so your “Too stupid” comment holds no relevance to the challenge encountered. Would you care to provide some additional suggestions as to what might resolve this?
I’m very capable of resolving most issues, thank you. Where do you suggest we place blame on this?

What happens when people attempt to re-buy it? Surely if you’re signed in with the account you bought it with it’ll say you own it? Screenshots anyone?

For me, when I clicked on the car, which was in my garage, it took me to the “Marketplace” to purchase the car or car pack depending on which car. I did not attempt to re-buy any cars after it took me to the Marketplace.

Update… Made a call as well as emailed support, no reply to email and the phone call was brief as they just suggested the basics. I powered everything up this morning and everything was fixed… I did not update anything, did not install anything, nothing… Must be a miracle! Whatever it was I’m thankful that all is back to the way it should be.
Being that I was affected by the big start over glitch as well as a couple other glitches I was prepared for the worst. Thankfully that was averted and now time to race forward.

It just means something happened to the license server. It’s an Xbox live issue not the game. Happens from time to time, you need to relax.

Relax? With FM7? LOL I was well into the game when I got the start over from scratch glitch, even that was enough to upset the good humor man… After the restart, I did not receive my awards for completing one of the “Elite Series Championship” achievements. I had to make several calls to support, Microsoft/Xbox support actually looked into it and confirmed I completed it but directed me back to here to get it straightened out which none of my correspondence was ever acknowledged. In the end, I had to redo that entire series again. So to be so cavalier and say just relax? No, I am going to express the challenges that affect me. It’s not like they care, they have never responded to any of my concerns. It’s not like I just started playing this series, I am at the highest tier level you can attain. So, relax… I’m just venting a bit…
