Are there any plans for more Horizon Tour Events, Car Type usage and a better shuffling of the maps?

Horizon Tour is one of the best modes in this game because it allows for a wide variety of the many cars to be used and excludes the same 10 OP cars everyone uses in open and rivals (Datsun 510, International scout… etc…) to win. That’s one of the main reasons open isn’t even fun. Its always the same cars over and over. I really feel like Horizon Tour could be vastly improved by adding a wider variety of events and car types as well as shuffling the track selection at random. There are so many lost opportunities with event scenarios and car types and even class usage.

First of all, let’s talk about the track selection. It seems that track selection is baked into the tour events themselves and is not randomly generated at all. For example, one of my favorite tracks is Gran Pantano Sprint and you literally never see this track in any Horizon Tour race. It’s just nonexistent. Why? It’s always the same tracks on the same events and I don’t understand why it’s not randomly generated and been made in this current way with such a large pool of maps. Why not even throw in some random event lab tracks that are well made/approved and stir things up a bit? There’s been some great ones in the festival challenge this year alone that would make for some great additions.

Let’s talk about the classes, too… I believe theres only 30 some odd events in Horizon Tour and most of those event choices are mostly dominated by S1 and A class Events in the Dirt or Cross Country? This seems to be 65-70% of the events that show up. And let’s be honest here, S1 and A class is just not that fun in the dirt/cc to warrant this many events popping up. What we need is more D, C and B class events because this is where the real fun and magic is at for most people in the game, including myself. B class probably being the highlight of the game overall. There are barely any D class events. I can think of 1. The D class buggy event and that’s it. Maybe there’s one more, but I can’t think of it at the moment. Yet we have a huge selection of D class cars to choose from that basically will never get gameplay besides some limited use on the Festival Playlist. The C class events suffer the same fate as D class, and I believe there’s only 1 or 2 races for this class and it’s locked to something like GMC brand only and retro rally cars basically excluding a huge list of cars for no real good reason. B class events gets the same treatment with 3 or 4 events total and this to me is total disservice to the game and community as a whole. There are so many cool cars in the B class range and yet most will never see any real game play outside of “The Trial” races because once again, no one will use them in open because the OP cars just blow everything away no matter how good your tune and driving is. So yeah, it seems everything is focused on S1/A class races in the dirt of all places and no love for anything else beyond that??

Now that you’ve added some new road races I’m really hoping Horizon Tour can be considered for a nice overhaul and really be made into something great and fun for the whole community. I hope this message lands well and in the eyes of the right people to make that happen because it would breathe new life into this game for me personally and I assume a lot of other people as well.

Thanks for reading!

It would be great to see some eventlabs pushed into tour, and I agree that it seems like there are more cross country and dirt events popping up. Why can’t they have 2 events going on at once (one cc / dirt and the other (road / street) that you can pick between - instead of having to wait 120seconds each time you wanna skip.

Some more C and D would be great, (slower classes is usually more close racing) but i think the majority who play this game prefer the faster classes (even when they can’t handle them)

would be nice for the D class horizon tour to complete accolades

The way i see it it boils down to the map.

I try to built cars for all event types in every class except x class.

In the End A-Class is just the most well rounded Class.

D-Class would be A Nice Challenge especially for those that want to built an Energy Racer that depends on its momentum to keep the pace up.

C-Class Is Quirky because it allows some very Strange Cars to be OP With the Right tuning (VW Caddy LX With AWD on Whitewalls is Fast and Grips well while staying C-Class)

S1 Class Can have some intense racing moments.

S2 Is Too fast for some tracks in my Opinion

X class is useless, those only exist to do topspeed.

I think it would work better if we could have tours that use Custom blueprints As Routes. That way we would get way more Variety.
