Apex Instability #Solved# (AMD Drivers)

After really looking forward to Apex I’m a little disappointed that my PC apparently cant keep up.

I got the warning saying that my Graphics drivers are incompatible even tho I have the latest. I forced Apex to start anyway figuring it would be worth a punt but I have only managed to finish the first race without the game crashing to desktop. I have attempted the first career race 4 times but have never been able to finish the first lap. :frowning: . After the first race I manually set all the graphics settings to minimum but still no luck.

My Rig:
AMD FX3850 (8x4Ghz)
AMD R9 270X (2Gb VRam)
16Gb DDR3 System Ram
Windows 10 x64

At first glance my rig isn’t ideal but it should be enough above the minimum to be able to play.

Any one else having similar issues?
Any one know if there are any beta drivers I could try?

EDIT-------------------------------------------------------

Solved
See HeliosT10 post for the correct AMD drivers.

Did you try your integrated AMD FX graphics? I may be mistaken, but doesn’t the FX3850 have on board graphics.

Try these drivers and see if there is any improvement:

Having also crashes but only after the race finished and want to start new one  though i have to bypass the pop up window same as you.
I’ve set settings to medium with 1920x1080 resolution, tryied to lower it still same problem… only made graphics look silly
And putting them higher crashed game instantly

My specs:
cpu: AMD FX8350 4Ghz
gpu: Gigabyte GV-R939G1 Gaming 8Gb
mem: 16 Gb DDR3 ram
windows 10 pro x64

That did the trick!!!

No more messages about incompatible drivers. The game seemed to recognise the driver change as it put the settings at 1080p and Medium.

Works Great! Looks Great!

Thank you

New Drivers?

Yes. The Drivers linked to in the 3rd post made all the difference for me. went from unplayable to better looking than the Xbox version.

sweet!! can’t wait to try it.

Grab the beta release drivers, that is what worked for me.

Runs amazing even on my old Phenom II X4 965 @3.4 ghz and my R9 270X. Love how well it runs.

Well the new update worked for a bit, still getting some random crashes in menu at start up and after the race is finished. At least i can run now on high graphics ^^
I do like the game, brings me back to countless houres on xbox 360! Also hoping for garage that i can tune cars and their paint jobs.
