If so, how to I make it work with this game lol. I just got mine, and I can’t make it work, I’ve tried all 3 modes and it just doesn’t do anything.
I know someone who is using it on xone and he doesnt have any issues. But you need the p1 wheel! Otherwise it wont work.

I just got this wheel, I’ve been playing with my old CSR and it worked great (Well, once I actually got it to be detected by my PC lol). I wanted Forza to be this wheels first game, like Forza 4 was my CSR’s, and Forza 7 was it’s last.

Nope. Even bought a P1 rim for my base recently, and it still doesn’t work at all. in Xbox mode my PC doesn’t even detect it. I’ve wasted quite a bit of time and money trying to get this game to work.
What’s most annoying is there’s options for the CSL and CSL (Xbox mode) in the options, but it just doesn’t work at all. Pretty disappointing, I’m half tempted to pull my old CSR back out, but I don’t know if I feel like dealing with all the connection issues it was having, again.
If I don’t get this sorted this time around, I’m giving up, and I’ll retire the Forza series along side my CSR.
Did you update the firmware?
Update your firmware and drivers !!! … and set it to the correct mode.

You don’t need the P1 rim at all when you want to play on PC! Only if you want to play on XB1.
Otherwise contact the Fanatec support …

Admittedly, I want to be a smart ass atm. But I know you guys are just trying to help.
My firmware+driver has been updated a couple times, I even updated them again once I got the P1 rim just to be 100% sure. It made zero difference. The wheel doesn’t function with this game. I’ve tried every mode, PC, PS4, Compatibility and now Xbox. It just doesn’t work. Works with everything else, just not Forza 7.
And I contacted Fanatec support Saturday I believe it was, I haven’t heard from them yet. But they rarely respond during the weekend anyway.
The wheel works for others … so something is ‘wrong’ on your pc.
But it could be everything (firmware, software, driver, error inside the device manager, … ).
Can you try it with another pc (friend / neighbor) ?
Until you receive a response from Fanatec support, you can try EMUWHEEL … for software emulation.
Unfortunately, all my friends who have PC’s good enough to run Forza live at least 4 hours away lol.
I’ll try the emuwheel and see if that works though, probably have to wait until later in the week though, not sure if I’ll have time today and I’m leaving for a few days for work tomorrow morning.
When I get time I’ll have to run through everything on my PC and see if there’s something screwed up somewhere. It’s just odd that it detects the wheel and works in other games.
Yeah sounds like Fanatec will be the only ones able to get this sorted. All I had to do was update the firmware and it worked with Forza 7 in both PC and Xbox modes, although Xbox mode cranks the ffb way up for some reason.

Just got back home last night, I’m reinstalling the game among other things to see if it fixes is. (at around 53gb downloaded now @100Mb/s)

Ok, so after deleting the game, and redownloading/installing it to a different hard drive, I was finally able to map the controls in the game and make the wheel work.
wasted money on the P1 rim, but not entirely, as I’ll just use it whenever friends come over and want to try out my setup. Some of my friends have some really sweaty hands lol, and the rubber covering the whole rim will be much easier to clean and maintain over the PS4 rim with its nice soft leather lol.
Man it feels good to throw cars around and listen to them in full Forza quality engine sounds.
I have no idea what was preventing it from working before, but something wasn’t right with the games files. Man it sucks redownloading 100gb though >.>
New question, is there a way to map it to work in the menus lol.
