In case you aren’t aware, this game artificially extends the length of songs by looping the middle part of them many times (eg. from the second verse to the bridge). I really don’t like this because it ruins the intended flow of the songs and makes songs I would otherwise enjoy get grating with repetition. I know the license holders would’ve given permission to alter songs like this, but that doesn’t mean it’s a good idea.
FH3 also did this but as far as I’m aware it was only during races so it was only ever particularly noticeable during long races (or in a couple songs that didn’t loop very seamlessly). FH4 however, does it in free roam as well so I have to put up with it while I’m looking for a barn find, retrying a PR stunt to get 3 stars, etc. I really like the Horizon soundtracks overall, but it always seems like there’s annoying things with the way they’re implemented, and I’m finding this especially bad. (Side note on that subject: why do the songs pop up on screen when the DJ starts talking instead of waiting until they actually start playing?)
