So I know this is odd but I’m kinda thinking they went too crazy with giving cars away. On day one (I’m a tier 4 driver and I pre-ordered the ultimate editon of the game) I will have 21 cars unlocked. That’s an insane amount and some will have even more cars then that unlocked I mean that just sounds like way too many free cars, here’s the break down btw.
Those who own the Car Pass will get the 2010 Noble M600 for free. [1 car]
Free 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STi (they did say it’d be within the first week but still) [1 car]
Day One Pack includes the 2012 Dodge Challenger R/T, 2014 Ford Fiesta ST, and the 2013 Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG. [3 cars]
VIP Pass includes the 2012 Lamborghini Urus, 2014 Tesla Model S, 1967 Ferrari 330 P4, 1949 Mercury Coupe, and the 2013 Donkervoort D8 GTO. [5 cars]
They will be releasing the “Launch Plus Bonus” DLC car pack for free which includes the 1968 Abarth 595 esseesse, 1987 Buick Regal GNX, 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV, 1993 Clio Williams, 1956 Ford F-100, 2015 Ford Mustang GT, 2003 Ford Focus RS, and the 1997 Land Rover Defender 90 [8 cars]
Forza Reward members will also be rewarded cars depending on there tier!
Tier 2 gets the 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe [1 car]
Tier 3 gets that and the 2013 Viper GTS [2 cars[
Tier 4 gets those and the 2015 Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 [3 cars]
Tier 5 gets those and the 2014 Local Motors Rally Fighter [4 cars]
Tier 6 gets those and the 2013 McLaren P1 [5 cars]
So yeah you can get as many as 23 cars for free on Day One, so what do you guys think bout this?
I agree, I have millions in forza 5 and I’m only level 170, and nothing really to spend it on, you can’t even buy an expensive car and gift it to a friend so my money ingame is rendered unless.
Yup it’s true, but to be fair most people don’t do dupes, I only have dupes of like 3 cars, the rest I just save multiple tunes for them and load different tunes when needed.
Yeah true and I hope they don’t make them free, but we’ll wait and see. I’m pretty sure they are cause the 8 cars that are in the “Launch Bonus” pack or whatever were all announced before the pack was as the original line up, yet a week later they’ve picked those 8 cars out and now saying it’ll be part of a free DLC pack to get everybody started, so I’m fairly sure the DLC cars will be completely free.
Somewhat agree/disagree. It helps towards the Achievements but most Ultimate-buyers will instantly complete the Challenge for October (buy 20 Cars). Unsure if gifted/free cars are counted as “buy”.
Eventually everyone will be running 6 to 10 different cars anyway based on the mission/race/roadtrip and the rest will be collecting dust in the garage
Define free A good number of those cars you have to pay for with real money. I don’t mind free at all, the more the better and if I had a XO I would be enjoying the game with some nice cars.
I really don’t see the point of having to drive for a a while in a crappy car, driving around most of the map and after you’ve seen it all be able to drive a nice car. I prefer starting out with a nice selection of cars to explore the world in and buy the crappy cars when needed for the game. I prefer to cruise in style and do it right from the start. By the time I could afford a nice car in Horizon 1, I had already driven every road and seen the whole map. It’s great to see that they addressed this in Horizon 2 and I’m really hoping we see some of these cars in the 360 version as well. Just as long as the 360 users get the Tier cars rewarded I’m happy.
