Well, today I decided to drive some cars I didn’t touch in a long time and one of them was the KTM X-Bow GT4. As I remember (and pictures on Google show) the car had an official livery.
But today, when I decided to take it for a spin, it had no livery. It’s completely carbon black, with no livery, paint or stickers on it. That’s odd. At first, I thought it was a problem with my console, as some custom liveries are taking a little bit to load. But I didn’t remember downloading any liveries to it. So, the next logical step was go to the paint booth and choose “manufacturer colors”. No dice.
To completely eliminate any possibilities, I went to the car dealer in order to check it out. LOL and behold, the brand new car is also completely naked in carbon black.
So, is that a bug, did any of the sponsors on the original livery had a discussion with Turn 10 and they decided this was the best solution or my console is having problems?
This car’s situation is weird. I’m starting to think it’s not a bug at all.
You’ll notice the car’s name no longer references True Racing nor its number. It’s just “KTM X-Bow GT4” now. An issue with licensing, maybe? The Ferrari 330 P4 for example didn’t bear an official livery until FM7.
Actually, scrap that. It seems to be a bug. In a custom design, the left side of the hood remains unpainted. This was not happening prior to the update and, considering the rest of the car is painted, it’s likely a mapping bug.
