Nothing. I hope they fix this mess. Iām afraid it was done on purpose though, maybe to limit the size of the game, same with Forzavista ātalking about the carā. Itās ridiculous,
You know, this theory may not sound all that far fetched. Maybe they actually have a window planned for each respective fix, which includes sound as well. But why keep everybody in the dark? Why release a game like this? Bad taste in my mouth, swear to God. GT did the exact same thing to its fans.
Goodness I hope we get a smoke signal from T10 atleast.
I have also noticed that the cars donāt sound as realistic as they did in previous iterations. It could be a matter of tuning the low end but I hadnāt put much thought into it.
FWIW though, I will say that there is WAY too much reverb in the garage. When you forzavista cars in the garage, it sounds like they are revving over the grand canyon or in an empty Costco. It is at least 30% more reverb than should be present in a room that size. It also takes the fun out of forzavista in the garage because the sound is v unimmersive
I agree⦠tested some cars on a high volume then paused and got a fright of my life the bass in the menu is way more then the actual car.
And interestingly, the pre-menu T10 Studios logo animation also sounds quiet and hollow, devoid of bass, like the car sounds. Coincidence?
Haha yeah⦠test any new cars yet?
Keep at it lads. They have got to correct the sound dynamic range imbalance sooner rather than later. Anybody remember similar issues in FM6? The announcerās voice and ādink dinkā menu sound was too loud while the cars sounded a bit mute and weak in-race. It was corrected eventually and what a breath of fresh air it was I tell you. Instantly boosted my motivation to play the game more.
Anyway, another misfit I came across: the Aston Martin DBR9 race car sounds like it has the exhaust sound for the DBR9 but the engine note of a generic road-going V12 Aston.
I suppose my definition of āTechnical Support & Helpā is slightly askewā¦
4 pages and not a single response? I am done with Forza until we get some
sort of response or fix. This is most certainly not the only issue, as we all know.
Forza has been my favorite game since Forza III. Since then, It has been my
dream to play forza on PC and this is what they give us⦠Disgusting and patheticā¦

You should check the general discussion thread itās 17 pages long and growing
The Aston Martin Vulcan has a horrible sound⦠it is very inaccurate and the cockpit noise is completely wrong⦠it sounds like wind and it is terrible sounding. Have turn 10 even listened to these cars before? Go listen to Project Cars 2 and learn from them Turn 10. Please fix these carsā¦
I just hope they are soaking all this in. The issues are colossal to say the least, and Iām just not willing to accept such a poor job from a AAA game developer. How is it that so much can go wrong in one game? What was the quality team or sound engineers doing as the release date got closer? Surely, somebody must have tried to speak up in front of the T10 and MS head honchos right?
However, I think they are smart people and will at least try to iron out issues. It takes time, I understand, but as long as ALL audio issues are given attention, Iām a content customer. Doesnāt mean that the other issues donāt deserve as much attention, but audio has been trademark of Forza games for over a decade. Too many steps back and itās just not registering you know? Iām in utter disbelief.
Competition, REAL competition is such a behind-kicker, wouldnāt you agree? And hey, whether you paid $100 for this game or if someone else paid less⦠EVERY Forza customer deserves to hear these cars as they are IRL. Theyāve done a fantastic job before, they have all the means, resources, access, manpower etc. They can do it all. If customers are willing to accept lower standards, then thatās exactly what theyāre going to do. Cold truth.
I hope they looking at this thread and the other thread because there are some fantastic thoughts on both these threads! Letās keep it going and keep on reporting gents!
The 13B rotaries have a 4 cylinder induction noise⦠As a rotary owner, I felt ill when I heard it.
Can I add a few? I havenāt seen much of the game, since itās broken for me, but Iāve noticed some errors. If the game is eventually fixed to the point were I can actually play it, I will add more:
-Alfa Romeo 155: Has a V6/L6 sound. The car has an L4. It was correct in previous games.
-Alfa Romeo Montreal: Sounds like a Flatplane V8. Sure; itās the 33 Stradaleās engine, but in the Montreal, not only was the engine bored, but a Crossplane crank was fitted. That little V8 should sound like a āregularā V8.
-BMW 850ci: Not being picky, but I noticed the sound is the same used for really old V12 cars. In Forza 6 it had its proper V12 sound, very similar to its real counterpart.
-Mercedes-Benz Actros Racing Truck: Sounds like a V8, when it should be an L6. In Forza 6, despite it was a repeated sound sample, it sounded like it should.
-Ferrari 488/458: Iām not a huge fan of modern V8 Ferraris, but it kind of bothers me. Now, it does sound like a proper Ferrari V8, but not the distinctive, almost Honda V-tec 4-cylinder (yeah⦠kill me for the comparison) growl itās known for. It almost sounds like older Ferrari V8 models, like the 355. In previous Forzas it sounded just fine.
-Lamborghini Aventador: Again. Spot-on in other Forzas. Here, itās just a copy-paste from the Diabloās sound sample from Horizon 3.
add this in the 20 page car sound thread aswell bro
Thought blow off sounds were dead in the Gt racing reborn series but i can hear the ford Capri outside the car barely. The Audi 90 not so much. Grrr loaded up FM6 just to hear those sweet subtle sounds of
awesomeness!
The DBR9 has been changed from a pretty good and correct sound, to a generic V12.
Why the heck to they keep changing the Aventador sound? It sounded one way in FM6, was changed for FH3, then changed in a FH3 update, then changed for FM7. Maybe if they had concentrated on the other cars sounds rather than constantly changing the Lambos sound (while making it progressively worse each time) we wouldnāt be in this mess.
How the hell you mess up things you had perfcted in previews games? for example CAR SOUNDS!!!
Big forza fan since the first game, this is the worst and glitchiest release Forza by far, Turn 10 what the hell happened?

Yes, unfortunately iām left wondering the same thing. Many cars in past Forzaās were fine (or fantastic) and their sound has now been notably DOWNgraded. Car sounds for me are one of the main reasons I buy and enjoy the game so much!
Take a listen to an R34 Skyline GT-R in Forza 7, then do the same in Forza 6. Itās REALLY noticeable. FM6 sounds accurate and tasty, FM7 sounds like a weird generic 6-cyl in comparison, not at all like an RB26. The Audi TT-RS sounds like a Viper, in earlier Forzaās they had it right.
Another example, some or most of the cars with VTEC have the VTEC sound still playing in deceleration⦠(hanging my head). I actually think this is a glitch. The nice sharp 5,500 RPM cut-in is just not what it used to be. For a concrete example, take an Acura RSX out in FM7 and then FM6 back to back.
To be fair, plenty of the cars sound AMAZING, and MOST of the backfiring they have added in I really like⦠where it is realistic. Itās really hit or miss, and usually Forza has been solid in that area.
Hereās hoping Turn 10 gets a chance to review the car engine sounds and start putting fixes inā¦
