[ANSWERED] (PC) Microsoft Store - Car Pass - persistent 0x803fb005 0x803F800 error messages

I’ve been playing Forza 7 and Forza Horizon 4 on my gaming PC for about a year. In the last few months, I’ve had a few instances where either game went into a ‘wonky’ state, and it was to reinstall. Usually, a reinstall fixes the issue, but I have to cross my fingers that subcomponents (Ultimate Edition) install correctly. I’ve even gone as far as formatting my PC and starting again, thinking there was some OS corruption.

I had to reinstall Forza Horizon 4 again this weekend, and now Car Pass is failing to install, again, with error codes 0x803fb005 and 0x803F800. Anything else I try to download from the MS store install’s without fault.

I’ve tried EVERY documented method and workaround to resolve the issue. Sometimes the problem will take auto resolve days or weeks later.

Not having easy access to log files makes the troubleshooting process even more frustrating.

Issues with Party Chat or Game Invites
Issues with Player Harassment or Abuse
Issues with Purchases and Refunds
Issues with Store Downloads and Updates
