First of all: i don’t know if this SLI profile is scaling properly, but in my case, is working 4320x2560 120fps stable. I have my desktop resolution at 120hz and Vsync forced on in NVIDIA profile inspector for 0 tearing(not in game):
Can confirm this does work However, I experienced strange flickering
where certain objects would become bright then dark while in a race.
Ended up turning it off becuase it was annoying. Hopefully they add SLI
support soon.
Yah I think many experienced SLI users have already tried experimenting with SLI bits without great success. There were a couple of compatibility profiles that I found which would enable my 2nd GPU but like you I’d get the dreaded SLI flicker enough that I need to disable it.
Thanks, anyway this is unnoficial and maybe SFR SLI rendering doesn’t scale as intended as SLI AFR, but should be helpful if Devs finnally gave us official multi-gpu support.
BY the way: How the hell can i update my forum avatar for my created in Xbox avatar app in Windows 10?:
Quick update, SLI and Crossfire is not supported and doesn’t provide any benefit when playing Forza Motorsport 7. If you are experiencing issues only when you have them enabled, we would suggest disabling the feature when playing the game.
Quick response, I’m sorry but I can not be more in disagree with you and I have to tell that you are 100% wrong in your statement. Sli is supported in this game, another thing is that it is not officially supported, because it is easy for you haven’t to give support in that sense, given the reliability problems of this unfinished product, which shows the lack of ethic, morality and professionalism that your company has, as well as the lack of respect that you daily show to the consumers. But using NV inspector can be done.
Anyway, for a game that you say is Gold, you should have implemented multigpu before its release.
Second, if this game had been really launched thinking on PC community (as you said PC is your first priority), you would have implemented basic things like a better FoV system, or VR support or triple monitor support but this should already be developed from APEX, improved on FH3 and come standard on FM7. Or even, a penalty system for people whose don’t play competitive in multiplayer and just drive like a troll bothering other drivers.
The problem here is your company policy: every September of each year you have to launch a new edition of Forza, whatever was the state of development, you make a spectacular propaganda and then tease us with a product that simply, does not work: infinite repeatedly bugs that were not fixed in previous games like CTD, memory leaks or no multithread cores.
We complain daily about the little intervention you have in the forums, but man,! suddenly you come here to intervene precisely in a post created by me, to disprove some of what I have proved with photos? You demonstrate to be bold as well as ignorant at same time(no offense).
Are you sure SLI is not supported? Or are you trying to convince us to not have any hope for an unfinished game that never will be finished? Or maybe are your people so busy trying to fix infinite issues from a bugged game, that implement multigpu is something unreachable because of his low level of knowledge of DX12? Or just you have your mind in Forza Horizon 4, because your company has achieved sales objectives for 2017, and because of that is not neccesary to support this game?
At least, if you have no intention of helping or fixing your defective product, let the community help each other, which is what I try to do, rather than killing the hopes of people with your unnecessary or out of place interventions which only make ppl be more upset and remember that they paid for a faulty product, ppl who decently try to have the best possible gaming experience for the product they paid for.
And however, for your achkwnoledge, if you have for example 3 monitors connected between 2 gpus (ex: 3 display port monitors in gpus that only supports 2 display ports devices) that is my case, you neccesary have to have SLI on when enabling Surround in NVIDIA, otherwise only two monitors max can be enabled if SLI is off. So, is not a choice is a reality and a need to have sli ON. And like i’m sure you will understand i’m not going to play with 2 monitors… What’s the matter? You made the game for a profile of user that have a 4K TV and an XBOX one S, in which goal is achieve 1080p 60fps or XBOX one X in which you can achieve 4K 60fps. But the incredible thing is that you have not yet realized that the market of the PC user surpasses you. You want to impose that people with 20 cores CPU or 2-way, 3-way 4-way SLI, crossfire, triple surround monitor, wheelstands expensives wheels, or not so great specifications, throw away everything they paid, to play a product in your conditions (with a pentium4, 64mb ram, a 13" crt monitor and a gamepad), having products like Assetto Corsa, Project Cars, PC2, etc., which give you 1000 laps to this game in all aspects. I think you still have not understood where you got in when you decided to enter on the PC market.
Given the ineptitude of your company, you do not know how to adapt your software to the current PC market hardware. Instead of fixing the issues, you solution is asking precisely the users, that we have limit the resources and the potential of our hardware to adapt them to your software and maybe make that your product could work. BUT IT IS OVER THAT YOUR PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK EVEN ON THE XBOX How can you label this a product of Gold or ESPORTS if you can not even play online without CTD? But in what world do you think you live?
Maybe the solution here is not listen you about turn SLI on or off, what we should do is ask for a refund and keep playing project cars 2, which does not have by far the problems of elementary school that you your developers have, like for example play solo player or multiplayer, or tune a car without CTD or better FFB system, and a non drivatard system too. Products in where we can take all the potential and benefit of our harwares.
So in conclussion: isn’t true that SLI is not supported. What is really true is: SLI on or SLI off, 8Gb, 16gb, 32gb ram, RTSS on, RTSS off, pagefile on, pagefile off, windows creator’s update or windows fall creators update, your game is a piece of buggy product that insanely CTD and you don’t have any idea about how to solve it.
P.S. We appreciate your intervention, but you are doing yourself a disservice by doing interventions like this. We already know that your game does not work, that the issues surpass you, it is nothing new for us, we have continued giving support to you year after year, buying your games. wWe know that you have good intentions, but the CEOs that pay you your salary only think of making numbers by selling low quality products. But this is real life and to survive you must cheat or scam, and this is nothing new. Without going to far away, I only have to take a look to your avatar photo: a man playing with a lot of money, counting it, dropping it… That sum of money could belong in part to money us consumers drop for your buggy games year after year and you are just there, laughing at all of us with falses promises about seeing this game fixed someday while you don’t find the time to stop counting your money there wherever you are.
The best thing you can do is apologize about have launched such a product that cannot be even ranked about mediocrely for respect to yourselves.
Right… So I will just disable one of my $400 graphics cards for a $60 dollar game that
its developers refuse to support a feature that has been out for 10+ years… I think not.
Thanks T10 for a horrible PC release…
thanks for this tip! i tried it on Forza Horizon 3 with 2 gtx1080s (non-ti) but experienced flickering and ~50% usage on each card, so i went back to single card.
I really hope there’s a way to get SLI working on these games properly some day.
