I do think it is resource related…but your PC should not commit suicide over it.
I have Fallout 4 installed, over 160 mods…so many your average loading screen takes 30 seconds on downtown Boston.
In terms of slapping the crash faeries in the face it’s pretty dire…so far it has never crashed once!
Forza Horizon 4?..6 times!
You would think if FH4 was struggling you would get some framerate drops but no it stays at 60 till it bluescreens & repeats the last sound in the buffer at terrifying volume.
Alright I just spoke with Xbox technical support. They claim that if you buy the game with one account, but play with a different account on that very same machine, it should not introduce any stability issues (technically and legally)… Closes out one of the possibilities. I’m gonna reinstall the game (shame that vertifying integrety of game cache isn’t available and since I had a very consistent crash) and keep you guys up to date.
Same issue here, I’ve tried with all the suggestions from the community and nothing works.
Sometimes the game works for 10-15 minutes and sometimes for two hours, there’s just no way to tell when it’s about to crash so if you’re in the middle of a long race or something, you could lose that progress at any time. Can’t believe I paid $99.99 for this, seriously considering refunding it and I doubt there should be any problems with it, God bless EU.
Devs never talk with us open, they use social media to communicate. Anyway most of people here uses shared account and experiencing “crashes” that in reality game just closing to make space for other person. High percents of people buy access to account with game. In my country are sold for 4$! The same problem is in Sea of Thefts. There also you cant play on shared account on 2 devices in same time. It’s end of cheap sharing account.
Well I definitely am not using account sharing and I don’t mind if the devs investigate my profile. I paid for this game legitimately and am now waiting for my refund.
I didn’t steal it and I am not sharing it with other people to save money. I just want to play the game I paid for and I can’t.
So let’s hope that they refund my money, I am still waiting.
I bought the game shared with 2 friends (it costs 200 bucks here in Brazil, that’s 1/4 of the minimum wage!) and we’re all experiencing crashes every 15 minutes.
It’s exactly 15 minutes right after the game has loaded into gameplay. Not a second more. Every time.
If you play offline the game will “crash” after exact 45 minutes. Every time!
Which makes me think, is it really a crash? I think it’s on purpose.
The game probably checks your account every 15 minutes, if it’s shared it shuts the game down. If you’re offline it gives you the benefit of the doubt and wait 45 minutes before shutting down.
Can anyone having no issues test and confirm it? Play offline for 45 minutes and see if the game will “crash”…
I don’t think it’s bad if the developer wants to protect the game from being shared on more than one PC, but you know, you MUST WARN the customers!
I’ll wait a couple of days and see if anything will change, if not, I’ll have to skip it for now and wait until it’s on sale… I can’t afford 200 bucks on a game. I’d gladly pay 80-100, but 200 is [Mod Edit] unreal
So the tech support post about some crash on xbone and pc is gone, I’m assuming they did something, so from what I can tell:
Yesterday evening 2 play sessions - lasted about 15min each
This morning I did 1 play session - lasted around 30min
An hour ago I did 1 play session - lasted about 45 minutes…
I mean it’s an improvement, but it still closes, and I don’t know if it’s always that long. Will keep updating if I find anything else
Nope - game sharing is not the case. I told you, turn of game bar overlay in windows games settings and everything works super fine, without any error.
