[ANSWERED] FH4 controller bug on PC

If you use custom mappings with a controller, after a couple of minutes the game bugs out, and you are unable to pause, bring on the map or use the dpad up, it’s been like that since the demo. To workaround this issue you need to change the controls back to default and restart the game.

edit: This is with a xb1 controller, but i have found people having the same issue on other controllers.

Having the same problem with a 360 controller on windows 10. Trying to change radio stations triggers it for me too. It has happened using custom layout and on default layout.

having the same problem glad others are too! LOL. Xbox one controller using blue tooth or the USB wireless controller option MSI GS65 windows 10 latest version hope they fix this

ok thanks for the preset control settings suggestion that works so far! now if they can fix the screen glitch popin textures when using MSAA 2-8X I will be happy!

Having same issue with custom bindings glitching out.
Using a wired 360 controller windows 10

Hey Guys,
I just found out that my controller just bugs out whenever I switch radio stations.
Hope this helps anybody!

I got the same Problem with XBOX 360 Controller on Windows 10. Everytime when i press a Button on the DPad…
So annoying.

I’m having a problem with settings savings in general, including losing controls with my wheel as you all describe. At other times, I’ve had problems overwriting my first mapping changes.

I’m on Windows 10, playing across three screens using Eyefinity and a Fanatec CSR wheel. (Thank you for still supporting it!)

I had a blast playing for a couple hours before I went in, tinkering with the mappings and settings. I had just figured out how to center the HUD on the middle screen and then changed some controls. That’s when I started experiencing problems with the control mappings not reflecting my changes, and sometimes going dead. Also, any controller button I map to Telemetry won’t make the telemetry go away. it just turns it on. I have to use the keyboard (T) to turn it off.

A different settings-related issue is that after having too much bezel compensation between the screens, I reduced it, changing the resolution to a narrower 6330x1080. Now, even after going into the video settings and selecting this resolution (it’s recognized in the game’s settings) everything is shifted to the right: the splash screen, the UI, everything. It’s as though the game is still showing the previous, wider resolution before I reduced the bezel compensation so that it’s cropped by the right screen.

Edit:
I had a chance to play a bit more and was able to reset the screen positioning by just going back to 1920x1080 for a minute. And I learned that the game really doesn’t like to have the rewind button remapped. I’m having fewer problems with the controls now that I’ve reset them and have avoided messing with that.

Hello, I have FH4 demo for now, I’m considering buying the full version but for now my Logitech controllers are not recognized and don’t work at all (no reaction with any button). I have a Rumblepad 2 and a Dual Action. Both are a bit old but they work fine with other games such as F1 2012, Street Fighter 4, Street Fighter 5 or Rocket League. It is also properly recognized by Windows 10 default drivers. The only game in which they don’t work is Forza Horizon 4. Any clue why it is not recognized and how to make it work ?
PS: I did install the Logitech latest drivers for Win10

I have the same problem with my pad > Logitech Cordless RumblePad 2. p/n: 863250-0000
The game recognizes the connected device, I can configure the settings, but when I turn off the settings and turn on the driving the pad does not react as if it was turned off.
My pad is seen by the game as a steering wheel, not the other controller.

Well in my case I can’t even configure the settings. And I did install the latest Logitech drivers for Win10. And it does say my controller has been disconnected if I disconnect it in the game. But no button ever works, in settings or in game.

Same issue here. Not able to play Forza Horizon 4 cause of this Controller bug. The controller works fine with all other games, but not with Forza Horizon 4. It is recognized and if I press some buttons, the ui switches to controller info just for the time the button is pressed but nothing happend. Can we expect a full working game for $60 in near future? This way this is not playable to me.

Anyone experiencing this issue should submit a support ticket.

Thank you.
