Hello, I’m attempting to play one a windows 10 PC but I am getting the error: Forza Horizon 4 is currently not available in your account. Code: 0x803F8001
I have been playing the game the past few days but I tried to launch the game today and had this error pop out on me. I have tried many fix methods one being installing another app from the store and this didn’t work. Any help would be appreciated!
I had this today after I replaced my computer’s motherboard (without reinstalling Windows). Incidentally, my copy of windows is no longer activated as a result and I am working on fixing that.
However I could get going with Forza. I got rid of the 0x803F8001 error by logging in with the XBox app. Just type “xbox” in the start menu and you should see XBox / Trusted Microsoft Store App. I had to sign in again and then I could see my games and launch Forza from the XBox app.
Then I hit a problem where it would show the splash screen and then exit. The solution to that is elsewhere on this forum. I wonder, though, if my problem was that during trying to activate Windows one of my user accounts got switched from local to “Microsoft Account login”. Anyway, the problem was that the c:\program files\windowsapps folder is not accessible. After that the game ran fine for me.
