With all online functionality for the legacy titles effectively gone, it has become impossible to share Vinyl Groups with others in the games. I’ve seen hundreds of genuinely fantastic Vinyl Groups, mainly logo replicas, and to think that it has seemingly become impossible to get them again makes me feel rather bad for the Players who don’t have the expertise to make their own Vinyl Groups like more experienced Players are.
However, I don’t exactly want to believe that it’s all gloom, either. Does anyone know if Vinyl Groups are stored in the game files? I’ve recreated the entire Macrogramma font, minus punctuation, in case it’s possible to get the Vinyl Group files out of the game to upload on a site. VGF files, maybe? I don’t have the slightest clue on the game files of Forza Motorsport 6, or even the previous title, or the Horizon titles for that matter.
So far, the only way I can share Vinyl Groups now is by just sharing the individual Vinyls making up the group and where to move them, what size they should be, the curve, and so on, and considering that it’d be a lot of text, especially for the American Racing logo and the Edelbrock logo, I’ve been considering just putting it all in a ZIP file.
Of course, I want to believe there is an easier way. Anyone here who has better knowledge of the inner workings of the game? I know there are people out there who would appreciate more Racing Number fonts and the like, but have no fast way of getting them on the older titles, where they can be used for newer titles, too.
