Yup…came here to rant about the same thing as mentioned here and previous posts. Its as if they got lazy and said hey, here’s a viper with the Forza wing and front bumper. We ALMOST had it perfect…its like a taste. I was extremely excited when I saw it, and super disappointed when I noticed it wasnt the extreme package. Honestly, we didn’t even get fender vents! Crossing fingers for a possible update or something…but I don’t have high hopes.
Saying that you can ‘just make it with Forza upgrades’ is undermining a hell of a lot of professional refinement that goes into making these cars. As mentioned before the difference in the ACR Viper is night and day, whilst even the M4 has a lot of very noticable differences, in visuals and performance, when you actually try the car out.
I dont understand all of the complaining on here over a car pack I only really like about half of the new cars but hey that’s enough for me to get my moneys worth, there are so many cars on this game to tune and use for me I love designing livery’s so I personally dont need to drive any of them to get something out of it. Fyi I still race a lot too I’m just saying lol. But to get to the point this is a fantastic game made by great devs with lots of help and support on this forum if you do nothing but complain about tiny little things that basically add more content to a game that’s already bursting with awesomeness then hey find another game with no friendly community or great help I have no complaints at all with fh3 its great and keeps getting better. Thank you very much turn 10 and playground games for all of your effort in making this masterpiece.
Great pack, loving the BMW M4 GTS, it looks fantastic with all those orange highlights. I predict that this and the M2 coupe from last months pack will become my most used cars. I’m a massive BMW fan btw. Also loving the NSX, it’s a bit more tail happy than I was expecting but that only adds to the charchter of the car Also think the Viper is a great addition to the game, looking forward to racing it against a Z06 to see which is faster. The more torquey Vette or the Viper, which has massive downforce. Overall great pack well down PG/T10.
Have some respect max has given heaps to this community. As max said he is the only one that has put in the time and effort to summarise the data, and until you do the same you have no right to question his findings based on your personal opinions.
Think of it like this. If we didnt get those two cars that are very similar we would have a 5 car pack not 7. They are low hanging fruit that are easy to add.
Even though honestly lm not sure l believe that. The “low hanging fruit” still take a lot of work.
Anyway you are deluded to think that all of the additional cars will be cars you like and it was a mistake for anyone to buy the car pass if thats what youre expecting.
No but like I said, I’m not a fan of the newer cars. I much prefer classic muscle. Cars like the GTR XU-1 Torana have a much higher place in our racing history than whatever cars won Bathurst in the last 10-20 years. The main point is that for a game set in Australia we don’t have enough Australian cars and more older cars should be added instead of newer ones.
Then there are cars like the VL Calais Turbo which still today remains hard to beat in a straight line, and the Falcon XE ESP which is just an absolute monster, and what about the HSV VS GTS-R the first 6-Speed manual coupled with its 5.7 litre was and still lairy as hell.
I reckon we made some of our best cars back then … xD
But, one thing we did not do, is put the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car lol. So many cars in this game that we have here in Australia too, but for some reason, they all have their steering wheels where the passenger would be sitting
I doubt we’d get the VL Calais Turbo when we already have the Walkinshaw. The XE would be good too as it represents the end of an era for Ford in Australia as it was the last V8 until the EB.
This pack was…disappointing…but not in the way you probably think…I like the cars, but certain people, *cough cough, AR12 Gaming, cough made it sound like we were getting something like bikes or a 6x6, anyway, I’m going to review these cars
Dodge Viper ACR,I like this car, has great handling, but its not low on HP, I love that you can put the big ol’ 1515 in it, can’t wait to race in a championship with this thing, love this car, and its been one of the cars I’ve wanted in the game
2017 Acura NSX, I’m just glad it finally got put into the game, we’ve been asking for it for so long
1998 Silvia K’s, This car is…weirld, the car to me has a ridiculous widebody, I wish we could have another widebody option, the widebody we have now for the Silvia K’s make the front end look like a muscle car with an identity crisis, its a good drift car, but not my favorite widebody wise
1990 Mazda Savanna RX-7, like the widebody, but wish we had body modifications still allowed with the widebody kit other than the aero stuff, good drift car
Ford Falcon XR GT, boring car honestly, for me anyway, it seems to be the throw away of the car pack
2016 BMW M4 GTS, I haven’t messed with the car much, but it seems like a pretty nice little car, can’t really rate this car much
Talbot Lotus Sunbeam, at first this seemed like it was going to be another throw awayuawayu, but damn this car can off road like a beast, highly recommend this car, better than it looks
Anyway, I would give this a 5 out of 5, they added cars I will enjoy messing around in, the Talbot especially, thanks T10,
P.S. anyone got any use for the Ford Falcon in this car pack?
I built and tuned it for B-class trail races by converting it to AWD and turbocharging the engine. Quite fast, I’ve grabbed some top 10 leaderboard times with it (although if I can do it, it can’t be that hard!) I find it comparable to my B-class Dodge Charger (also AWD and turbocharged), where the latter has more power but also more weight, making the Falcon slightly easier to drive. Tunes are shared for both cars.
The XR GT is there because it’s the first Australian Ford GT and also the first V8 to win Bathurst. You may think it’s boring but it has a deserved place in Australian motoring history.
