This feature should have an option to always display the time/distance (ahead or behind) rather than just always showing the time penalty for that car.
If after a car gets a penalty it only ever displays that penalty time it makes it more difficult to understand how I am gaining/losing time to that car. Also it doesn’t allow me to figure out a pitting strategy when dealing with lapped traffic and where I will come out relative to them.
For instance this image is the lead car in a group of 4 that were always close together on track. I have passed them at least 1 other time but it generally was difficult. If I knew how far behind they were I could calculate an estimate for how much I am gaining on them a lap to see if it makes sense to pit so that I avoid potentially leaving the pits in the middle of them.
