I’d like to echo some of the sentiments in the last few posts:
Please do more ‘slow’ things. GTI & MX-5 spec series are amazing (as would be E30 if I could only hear the darn thing in driver camera)…
I mean, I get how the faster classes might feel more exciting to some folks. But some of the best racing can be had at half that speed (and with a little mutual respect).
Still 2 years later and 19 updates. We still have weekly rotation. This is a problem for individuals who work full time jobs. We might get 1 or 2 days per week to race. Now if we have waited for 3 weeks to race the class we enjoy. That’s 1 day out of every month. God forbid if we have plans for the weekend. Then guess what. We miss it for the entire month. I know a lot of people that don’t even race during S and R weeks. Turn 10. You are pushing people away with these rotating classes.
The thing that I find a little frustrating is the schedule for Cycled Class.
As it rotates between 5 classes and there are 7 days in a week, it’s not consistent week-to-week in terms of what events are available.
Without tracking and predicting via a spreadsheet (example below) or waiting for some forum posts (as the day-by-day breakdown is never in release notes or announcement blogs), it’s difficult to plan ahead.
Assuming Cycled Class remains a thing in the future, it might be wise to lock each day of the week down to a specific class, with two of them repeating on weekends. Here’s a hypothetical example, I am making a guess that C and D are most popular and worth repeating on the weekend:
Monday: C
Tuesday: P
Wednesday: D
Thursday: X
Friday: E
Saturday: C
Sunday: D
Alternatively, have 7 classes in Cycled Class (add A and S), but then you have the issue of events “doubling up” when A and S have their own full-week playlists.
