One of my friends who I won’t reveal the identity informed me about the tutorial on how to get those crazy high speeds on speed traps and radars. By accident he applied it in Horizon 1 - and was soon removed considering the early days of Horizon 1. However, he has never exploited that vulnerability since, neither have I.
Is it true, though? It all makes sense, but it could be something else.
We could also suspect the presence of hackers, because some people use some unusually fast cars in Road Trips already, notably.

It’s most likely hackers because Turn 10 released a patch in June? last year that limited the max speed to 270mph on any car. But then again, I haven’t tried to do any type of exploit to get #1 on all speed traps and speed zones. I try to stay on the good side with Turn 10. Don’t want all of my hard work and many hours of game play to be for not.
