Hello, everyone.
First, I’d like to put my suggestion into context:
Sometimes, I prefer to drive with a cockpit view and some times of those times, I prefer to do it with switching off the HUD Speedometer/RPM meter. The reasons are simple:
- It’s more realistic.
- Quick glance from the road, down to the dashboard is, well. is quicker than a quick look sideways in right down corner.
However, sometimes dashboard (as players we are interested only in RPM meter, speedometer and, if present - current gear; mostly in the first) doesn’t show valid and useful information.
This occurs only on two occasions:
- Car is upgraded so much and/or is very different from the stock and the dashboard can’t show real car information, and the dashboard is not fully digital. Maybe, the brightest example is Vocho upgraded to S-class. Which wouldn’t have happened in real life, as an owner surely installed new dashboard meters.
- Dashboard is fully analogue and it’s dark.
Let me propose solutions for those (minor) inconveniences. I also would like to point out beforehand, that I would be totally content even with the simplest solution.
For the first issue:
- Handcrafted (or AI-generated) “meters” for all cars and all possible changes in maximal speed and RPM.
- Several similar by the type “meters” that will fit into different types of the vehicle (like Retro Muscle, Super Saloons etc).
- Single identical meter for all occasions (well, at least round ones).
If a player wants an upgraded meter, such setting can exist in “HUD and accessibility”.
For the second issue:
Let flip the light switch in “HUD and accessibility”, no matter the time of day.
