Further visual upgrades are one of the requests that the community has been asking for all along.
However, the most important of these upgrades, the body kit, is not easy to add due to the time and effort required for new modeling and, in the case of aftermarket parts, the additional cost of licensing.
But there are many past assets that have yet to be used in FH5.
By reusing them, it is possible to avoid the above problems while adding visual upgrade options to some models.
Here is the list. (Some of these are duplicates of what I have posted in the past in the Customization Wish List thread, but please forgive them as they are just examples of assets that can be reused.)
Forza Edition Wide Body Kit (FM7)
Available models:
- 2017 Acura NSX
- 1991 BMW M3
- 1995 BMW 850 CSi (Not available in FH5)
- 2016 Cadillac ATS-V Coupe
- 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
- 2016 Ford Shelby GT350R
- 1997 Honda Civic Type R
- 2016 Honda Civic Type R
- 2010 Maserati Gran Turismo S
- 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata
- 2016 Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe
- 1987 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am
One asset that is particularly requested by the community.
These widebody kits have only been used for FM7 FE cars and have never been reused for any other Forza series.
Roof Rack (FH4)
Available models:
- 2011 Ford Transit SSV
This part, added for traffic cars in FH4, was also available to players in the Ford Transit SSV FE of the same work.
It should not be difficult to add this option to the regular Transit SSV.
Police-style light bar (FM7)
Available models:
- 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1
Parts added when Corvette ZL1 was added to FM7 from FH4.
It would not be difficult to add this part to the base Corvette ZL1.
Fog lights and off-road bumper (FH4)
Available models:
- 1976 Jeep CJ5 Renegade
Jeep CJ5 got another variant called CJ5 WP with FH4 update.
And this variant not only had some performance differences, but also had more front bumper and foglight combination options than the regular CJ5.
They did not include any new parts, but were an excellent addition in that they allowed players to choose more detailed combinations.
Taxi Sign (FH5)
Available models:
- 1963 Volkswagen Beetle
New parts added in FH5.
The Beetle taxi is a symbol of Mexican automotive culture, and is the most FH5-like customization option.
Unfortunately, this part is currently exclusive to traffic Beetle taxi and cannot be installed on a player’s Beetle.
Barn find exclusive parts (FH4, FH5)
Available models:
- 1983 Audi Sport Quattro (Police car lights for unmarked police cars)
- 1999 Dodge Viper GTS ACR (Cowl-Induction hood)
- 1970 GMC Jimmy (Offroad wide body kit)
It is not uncommon for barn finds in the Horizon series to have unique visual customizations upon discovery.
Many of these are simply livery or body kits identical to those available to the player, but these three models were fitted with exclusive visual upgrade parts that were not available to the player.
The police car lights on the Audi Quattro are a joke, but Viper’s drag style hood and Jimmy’s wide body kit are great parts that should be available to players as well.
Unused parts (FH5)
Available models:
- Renault 4
There is a bug in Renault 4 added in FH5, and for some reason we are seeing some unused rally kits that only show up when a widebody kit is installed.
There is nothing wrong with these rally kits except that they can only be seen when using this bug, and these parts can be added to the game as rally kits immediately.
Why not add them while fixing the widebody kit bug?
Thus, there are many custom parts that can be added for existing models without modeling a new body kit or entering into a licensing agreement.
Recycling these body kits gives us more options with less effort and cost, and in the case of parts like wide-body kits, it can also improve the performance of the vehicle.
Please consider it.
