I have a question egarding speed and acceleration tuning, when changing the gear ratios slightly, the top speed increases, but the rating doesnt show that the speed increased (the number stayed at 9.0). Same goes for acceleration, I was just wondering why. Also isnt there a way to change boost pressure for the turbos in my Mitsubishi 1997 GTO All Wheel Drive.
The rating is just for the base setting. Tuning has no effect rating. On top of that the rating doesnt translated on the track alot of times. I have cars 5.0 speed ratings that will 200 mph.
Those 1-10 number ratings only consider the parts, not the tune itself.
So for instance i could take a car with 6.0 acceleration and put a race transmission in it and it could increase that rating to say 6.5.
Now say i tuned that transmission so the gears were as long as possible and 1st gear would go up to 150mph. On the track the car would not accelerate fast (if it could move at all), but that acceleration rating will stay at 6.5 regardless.
