So I’m lost back in the fantasy section again!
I try to do at least one fantasy paint in each Forza game and decided in a moment of madness to start one from an image I saw and thought was cool!
Image is by an artist called Daniel Hahn, i don’t know too much about him but he does some cool future concept style images and this one was that stood out.
Very much a mix of Tech & Human elements that look seamless and awesome!
Edit: Have spoken to Daniel over @ Behance and told him of this little project so if you’d like to see more of his impressive artwork links are here ‘Behance’ or his ‘Wordpress Site’. Go say Hi !
So with a rough idea on how to start painting in sections and building the textures up got going and my start this far…
STAGE ONE - HEAD
Whilst not 100% sure how much of the image I can squeeze in or how it could work on a car i’m going to carry on, but not a clue of how can incorporate it into a design just yet (let along pick a car for it!) Edit: Picked the car now. Will be able to get a decent size image on the sides, rear and a larger one down the hood space.
Please let me know thoughts feedback and ideas that could help. Brutal honest truth.
Thank you fantasy section, much love <3
hello AB , I’m glad to see your presence in fantasy painting.
I’m not as old as you on the forum, I could not see your paints .
Your design is very promising, I love the style
in my opinion, when the vinyl is taller than wide it still poses problem
For the sake of placement on a car, their form is
primarily in length (gods thank you !!)
I manage to make a vinyl in width to the sides
and another vinyl main, generally higher than wide
I site on the hood.
I wonder if other vinyls will be integrated in your livery?
Hope to have helped, I am ready to listen.
lovin it mate and glad your venturing into the fantasy side of things again,if it were me i would definitely use it as a bonnet image as it is quite tall and maybe lose the bottom half for the sides and being you i would expect a sort of racy layout with the image incorporated in it somewhere which is enticing, maybe using the grey and yellow tones from the image either way i cant wait to see how this turns out, keep calm and carry on
I think i’ve found a suitable car (well 2 options) that will hopefully work, but yes think your right having the larger tall version on the bonnet will be the best plan.
Started mapping out the top half of the body section, decided to not go much further down than just below the hand / jeans as the image will go too small.
Roughly placed the images as they stood in basic form and think it will work. As for the background graphics going to adapt the textures and some of the little features and yellow highlights along the way but until the main image is sorted don’t want to get too far into the design.
Hopefully have some further work done tonight, forgot to photo last nights updates but will take a few so can see it evolve
Not a clue how your going to get it on a car either, but its looking good. In her off hand is a sword, you could concentrate on the top half and utilize the sword and her arm to make it wider.
Heh bud, I’m trying to learn paint on my own, for the most part. I was wondering why you used a bright green background before adding the final grey patches in these pics. Is there a shortcut technique here?
Nice design by the way. I have a few of yours (along with a bunch from Skyline, Cruse, Wererabbitt, Mimic, Tagging Target, tomninnin, etc…). Can’t get enough of the paints (although I ran out of save spots minus a few for my own designs. sad face).
Audible, no reason other than when I paint i think in layers/groups how can best shade elements so just map out each part in a random colour. I wish was a shortcut! Lol
Thanks for the comments though chaps so far
Just updated the OP with some links to Daniel Hahn websites. Spoken to him over at Behance and mentioned what i’m working on and so far he liked it and was amazed you can do this in a game.
Please do go check him out when you can and go say Hi !
