Hi. Haven’t logged into forza forums for a while but I’ve posted a lot before and I do care about this game.
I think this game is massive for xbox as a whole. No joke.
I see a gap in the market. An Iracing type first person cockpit cam game, but that works nice on controller.
Forza nails this. This is why I love this game. It’s the only reason I still have a console period.
But… as a cockpit player, which I believe a lot of players are, rhe game doean’t satify real racing needs because you know the guy that just beat you is probably in chase cam, and so yh… it’s RC cars basically, but virtual. So of course a chase player will be faster than cockpit, a player who has to deal with realistic camera perspectives and lack of visibility. Forza needs to enforce this. This is where racing is right now. You can make this game into the fifa of racing but only if the racing is actually truly competitive. You can’t have chase players mixing with cockpit players. If they do mix, there should be some ui element that lets the player know what they’re dealing with.
Racing is the only reason I still play xbox, and if forza wasn’t here even as it is now, I’d probably stop racing entirely, or more pbably id by a pc and go full iracing, even though I know it’s expensive and will be kinda sad to do in my life.
Xbox + forza is amazing.
It’s just I know from a racing fam perspective, the game has massive potential, but it’s also just so annoying, and dare I say badly built. But I 1000x believe the actual engine is good. Main reason why I care. Forza at it’s heart is amazing. I will defend this to my death. I don’t want to insualt the desingers or engineers or whoever, but I just can’t help think if a steve jobs type guy who actually understood racing and the engineering side of this game like I do, if they took control of the forza project, it could be so much better.
I’m this guy basically. I know with 100% certainty how to make this game the biggest console racing game everyone respects. A trulty great game. I’ve spent two years making notes on this game in an imaginary scenario I actually end up on a zoom call with important people of this game lol.
DM me somehow if you want to know how id do this, can even make UI designs in adobe or sketch to demonstrate ideas, happy to keep private also. I’m dead certain I can build a team to build this game to be the best console racing game that even GT7 would struggle to adapt to.
Edit: Btw i’m a software engineer irl, I understand how to build the systems that need building to make this game the best racing game not just on xbox, but in general that would be respected by people like max verstappen for example. i can articulate all this to the granular level. More than happy to work with senior devs and product designers, I can articulate my ideas in these languages, I’m certain they will get my vision after a few sessions working together. This is why I want to build a team, I want make this game truly great from the eyes of a racing fan, and in the long term this is what draws in new fans, because they come to appreciate it all. This gives the game prestige.
Please someone in MS or Turn10 message me somehow. Gimme that first phone call. Gimme a week in advance so I can prepare for it and make a pitch.
