Sorry to MOD not sure if this should fall into wish list or and tread moaning about ramming so move to where it needs to go
But I’ve been thinking long and hard on what could be done about people looking to crash and ram there way to victory ruining clean racing for others and I believe it’s simple and easy to do
In the UK we call it banger racing not sure if DD is the same as it but it’s a simple format
Run small oval shape tracks and I mean small so if you get spun to a halt it’s easy to catch the leader again
Have 10/15 laps that should take 30secs a lap restricted to E D class anything else would be way to fast and ruin the point of it
Turn damage on but leave engine damage of ( unless thur testing it makes sense to keep that on) so even if damaged there is a chance of you winning the race
Stand lake and ringwood are good examples of the tracks I mean all are UK based
Now just add 3 new tracks with different back drops that are already used in game set class to E/D and it’s ready to go ( I know there will be more work than that in theory it’s simple)
Then add a large bowl last car driving wins
Then racers(and I use that term loosely ) can crash and ram there way to victory leave clean racers to get on with the gentlemanly sport of racing
How does that sound fm6 racers
Wreckfest (early access on Steam) is a superb game which specialises in exactly this, it has superb crash physics and damage modelling and is a huge amount of fun to play. It has Destruction Derby bowls and even figure of 8 tracks. It is true red mist racing and designed to be exactly that. Being out well in front on the figure of 8 means nothing as disaster can strike at any time on the cross over.
I agree with you if only the crashers would go and play the game actually designed for them and leave the racers for…racers. I’ll happily take them on there too, under the known and accepted rules.
I like what GTA did with certain situations, I think they put you in a room with other people that were doing the same thing like blowing up other persons cars or if you were cheating they put you in a room with other cheaters or something a long those lines. Wish this game did the same thing so if you start wrecking people you will get put into a lobby with other wreckers and can’t get out for a certain amount of time kind of like moderation. It will limit the wreckers and corner cutters in these lobbies making for better racing. Just an opinion.
Isn`t this a situation for their true skill stuff? I do like the idea though. But for now the only thing to do is report them on xbox live. But this shows that the user hosted lobbies are being missed.
Great idea but let’s say I have that power me and you race you beat me clean in every way what would stop me kicking so I can win again a ego and pride are hard things to swollow and there’s a say absolute power ruins absolutely
It wouldnt be anyone, only people who can be trusted to use the feature in the way it is intended and I would think that there would be checks to make sure nobody was abusing it.
To be fair I think I’m agruing for the sake of it now I race as clean as I can so I would hope I don’t fall foul of this system
I think my real point is I don’t think there is a lot T10 or any other developer can do to stop corner cutting and wrecking only try to avoid this by adding a place where they hey we don’t like it in every race but in this event you can do it if you please
This would be very welcomed. Especially those of us that try to stream on Twitch. Wreckers can ruin it for not only the racers but the viewers as well.
But a bad racer lobby would be hard to put in place as you would be asking to much as people will complain and or stop play ( I would as I feel I’m a clean racer with mistakes)
How would it work x amount of contact bad racer lobby
Would it take into account how major are the contacts could the game do that
Would it take into account who’s at fault
Does it take into account people who use head set and rally the group to vote kick ( I.e GT goes for an over take I don’t see him I move over and he clips me spinning us both out and GT said over mic god that shadeyspade can’t race he took me as I tryed to pass let’s all kick him…me not using a mic can’t defend my self)
There too many thing to put in place to many varies to account on
Where as something like banger race give you the choice on what you do but it won’t remove the problem of contact in racing and people being annoyed by there own mistake or someone else’s but at least racers that wanna rub n bump can in thee own lobby
People complain about the game anyways so it wouldn’t be anything new with adding a new feature. Kicking someone cause they beat you fairly won’t go away if they bring this feature back cause some people just can’t handle getting beat and will kick anyone who beats them. That’s why custom lobbies should be brought back, it will limit a lot of the crashers in the lobbies.

Unless ghost is on (which anit racing) wreckers will still join and wreck and if host has control who stays and who goes brings you back to the same problem I make a mistake gentle tap I’m a wrecker I get kicked or I race faster and beat than host kicked leaves back in a position of hoppers again( just like to point out I haven’t really had a problem with wreckers[Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted- fyerball ]
In theory this is great but you are forgetting the thought process of a wrecker.
Its to ruin any fun of a legitimate clean racer.
I was racing r class last night in public lobbies.I did ten races or so and every damn race was a wreck fest… I dont even think it was guys in there purposely wrecking it is just that everone feels a NEED to pass all the time at ANY cost…
IF YOU CANT PASS CLEANLY THEN DONT PASS AT ALL… You have to deal with slower racers ,thats just the fact.You dont have the right to move them out of your way.Race clean or dont race.
I watch raceboy77 on twitch a few times a week… He is a great racer and always finishes near top but never makes a pass if its not clean.If he hits someone he gives the spot back… Thats how it should be.
My feeling is if I pass someone cleanly 90 percent of the time I get drilled by that person in the next corner!Why? Did I step on your ego? I raced you clean and didnt touch you in the process.
Its too bad becuz when you actually get a clean race its a fun factor of 10.
This is true but I don’t see that as a wrecker but a troll and nothing will remove them from a game but people who can’t or won’t pass clean have a place to go where it’s acceptable
For me I don’t really care about wreckers or trolls it’s annoying but I see it as I’m clearly a better racer than you and you where threatened by my amazing skill as a race lol
I think everyone is really missing the point. The people wrecking people on purpose like ruining the races of people trying to race cleanly. I doubt they have any interest in racing with others like them at all and would be a fail. it would be more popular with the clean racers looking for a break and something different for a 10-30 minute something different.
The wrecker’s only joy comes from ruining someone else’s race. That’s why non-collision rooms are so hilarious when someone is waiting at the end of a lap to wreck you. I think, wow, a wrecker and stupid +1. awesome.
Yup, they wreck to get a rise out of people and get a screamy rage to share on YouTube for their whopping 85 views.
Lol, in the ghost lobby we had a guy pick a Raptor and sure enough in the 1st turn he goes screaming through us. After about 5 more tries at wrecking he screams at us that we’re all glitchers and cheats because his car just goes right through us. Unfortunately before I could lie and tell him this was how Forza was now someone explained to him that there were collision and no-collision lobbies so he thanked us and left, most likely to ruin the game for others.
As for this I’ve been watching youtube getting there game tag where possable and reporting to xbox live and under unsportsmanlike conduct and attaching the URL to it as more prof

Keep in mind that half the “fun” of being a crasher (or cheater, or hacker, whatever) is to ruin others entertainment. At least for a lot of them.
They also want an advantage that they won’t have if everyone plays on an even field.
This happens a lot of certain games that don’t allow teaming up. The dev then creates a team server, the “teamers” still desire the advantage of the non-team server.
