A little help with the X-Bow?

I’m seeing this at the top of all of the A class LBs but I can’t get this car to do anything good…I’m not sure of the best way to build it to A700 for starters and then the tuning is just not happening. Can anyone point me in SOME sort of direction??

I’m actually headed out of town for a few days but hopefully when I get back I’ll have a little bit on here to think about.

While we’re at it…I’m trying to get a good F50 together. I like what I’ve done so far but I think I can get a little more out of it. It seems to be a bit OP in this game from what I’ve seen. It seems that dudes with a good build/tune on this one can pretty much own lobbies.

Thanks for the help!!

It be good to know your starting points (build/tune) so some potential recommendations can be shared. The X-Bow can be a challenge at times. The F50 is a great car and top of LBs. Then, it depends on driving skills so to match car (loose, grip, etc…) to your comfort level.

I’m actually looking for advice on the build specifically. Not sure the best way to go to get it to A700. I’ve tried a few different engines and I’m just not happy with what I’m getting out of it. I’m away from my xbox right now so I can’t give specifics but I know some were making it slightly difficult to even get to A700.

Anyhow, no big deal. I’ve been asking a lot of this forum and don’t want to wear out my welcome. If anyone wants to share some tips on this car that will get me pointed in the right direction, that’d be cool!

No problem, I certainly can help out. So, you want the x-Bow A build correct? (you are OK with the F50!!) My point was that there could be several build based on the track and your driving preferences around handling and so forth. I can certainly come up with a suggested build for you. I’ll give it a shot.

Leaderboard x-bow use the 1.6L engine swap. For speed tracks use drag tires with the car.

The car drives terrible and you just have to adapt to it mostly.

Also you only use 4th/5th gear in the car even if it sounds like it is bogging out (sometimes you may need to use 3rd) and you shift at 5500 RPMs only. If you fail to use the right gear and/or shift incorrectly you will lose massive amounts of time.

Its a terrible car overall.

Sure is, at the same time, quite quick tho when you know how to drive it.

Swerves right, all builds for it will use the 1.6 engine, its just a matter of how you want the rest of it.

1.6L Turbo Rally Engine, rear Forza aero, stock (sport) compound with front/rear max widths, sport trans, race driveline & diff, race brakes and ARBs, w/no restrictor plate…

You pick rim style, use stock size.

That is it! Hope this helps!

I agree

Don’t feel bad - that car drove me crazy, too. Comparatively, I was doing much better in the F-50. Even with Swerve’s great advice, it is still going to be a challenge to nail down X-Bow’s sweet spot. I still haven’t found it.

Love that car.
