Does anyone have any experience racing with 10 or more players in private lobbies?
If so, what was the connection like?
Was there any disconnections or lag?
Does removing liveries or picking slower cars improve the connection?
Final question, do the private lobbies go off the hosts connection? If the host left would everyone disconnect?
Thanks
I’d appreciate if someone could answer, thanks!
As far as my experience goes, the connection is the same no matter how many people are in it, but it also depends on your internet quality. While Forza needs a really good internet connection to deliver a smooth driving experience, disconnection can always happen, but that’s usually not a server issue, it more comes down to the players connection to the server.
Liveries have no impact on the connection in the race, as liveries are a very low download size and only needed to be downloaded once, therefore after the players joining the lobby and choosing their car, liveries don’t have any impact on the internet.
Slower cars can definitely make the racing experience better, but not because the internet gets better, but instead slower cars just need slower latency to work well. While faster cars need more precision and therefore faster latency. But that won’t change anything about the connection either.
The host in a private lobby doesn’t actually host the lobby, but rather just leads the lobby. The host has the power to decide what happens, but as soon as the host loses connection or manually leaves the lobby, another random player will be assigned as host.
