So I’ve just finished my first ever ring tune. I retuned my A Class AMG Mercedes CLK GTR and the car feels great. First attempt on LB and gotta 7:12 with so not bad, I’m sure it will do sub 7:10.
Anyway it’s out there if anyone wants to try. The tune has more downforce than the one I used for LB and feels better IMO.
If anyone is interested to give it a shot
FILE NAME: NORDSCHLEIFE GRIP
The LB one is there too called ‘NORDSCHLEIFE A’ but I think the grip will go faster it’s just late and I CBA to hot lap the ring any longer tonight haha. :-S
NOTE: You gotta do at least one lap to get the tyres going and search for it on my GT as it doesn’t give you the option of choosing A Class in search since the car is S Class at stock.
I’d love to hear about your times and feedback if you try it as well!
I’m finding it really tough to get off the ground as a tuner at the moment, folk just won’t download my tunes, and why should they there’s obviously more experienced and more reliable tuners out there so I appreciate any downloads, nobody seems to leave feedback either on any except the Mazda which gained Top #40 times so if it’s not topping times then people don’t want to know, it seems. I still personally think this car runs excellent times on Nordschleife though. Top 200 for a track that almost everyone wants to get a time on is good and even better considering I left at least 2 seconds on the table with my time as well. For lobbies it’s great because people look over at you on the start line and think…‘hey, isn’t that an S Class car’.
Anyway, I wanted to bring this car into the picture for this track. I have done some testing of both tunes now and I really think that anyone should download both and give it 3 laps(half an hours play) each because to bring it down to A Class I had to use Drag Tyres and these do not switch on until at least 1 lap. So if you’re hot lapping then do a lap or 2 and if it’s Lobby then you’ll have to get a bit aggressive at the beginning of the lap in the hoppers to heat up those tyres. You will notice a big difference between Lap 1 and Lap 3, I did anyway. Nordschleife A is my favourite of the 2 by the way.
‘AMG Lobby Use’ was just wrong for Nordschleife and although the same build it just couldn’t do the ring. Still a good tune for all medium to long tracks though.
Hang in there buddy, I know it is tough. I am going to drive this car some more today.
I keep getting the message of folks using my tunes yet no points (which I do not care for) which indicates low usage. Once I get a couple of more tunes I am hoping to officially open my garage. I’ll see how it goes.
Drag tires may be a problem on that track for extended laps. Check your damage area and look at the % compound (wear issue) left after a couple of laps…this will certainly impact the performance. Just a thought!
