It doesn’t matter what for the game you play whether it be Motorsport or horizon old or new the system is never worked right, it would be nice to have a functional realistic manual with clutch system
There is just remap your buttons , so A = clutch, X = shift down, B = shift up.
How does that work for those using a wheel w/clutch setup?
nah just keep it like fh5 simply not complicated
The fh5 system don’t work right, wym😭
it is better when it is more real, in the Crew it was not real and it was not good at all, in ETS2 / ATS you can simulate a gearbox, easy to shift, and you can shift with out the clutch if you rev match. it works really well
I Would like a semi auto system were the game doesn’t shift up for you but will shift down for you.
That’s an odd one I don’t think that would fit the game though I mean the whole point of the manual shift options is to feel like you’re more in control of the car
Wheel player here (g923 on PC) and IMHO specific to Motorsports iteration:
They are too exacting for what this game is. Anything more would over complicate it and heighten the learning curve for what is a more casual friendly game style.
I think what we have right now is fairly well balanced for what it is, given consideration of the 3 interface types we need to support and the more casual/accessible nature of this game.
i.e.: In this game, there is no point at which using it becomes “necessary” to complete.
It can help, for certain, but in motorsport clutch/flywheel upgrades were basically required before shifting didn’t feel laborious and unrealistic, literally eating seconds of lap-time which might as well be hours in context.
